And things I did at my previous job was assist clients with completing activities of daily living -bathing, feeding, grooming and dressing -to preserve quality of life, documented the physical, mental and social status of clients, reported any abnormal changes to the clinical team, administered medications and completed documentation, reported any changes in client's condition to the clinical team and coordinated and scheduled age-appropriate activities for clients to maintain coordination and fine motor skills. I also have Medication and Home Health Aide certificate. I am fully vaccinated

While different age groups have different needs, I think connection is the most important aspect of it all. I strive to create relationships that are built not only on mutual respect and trust, but also on compatibility.

When I was a child, I used to help my mom take care of my grandmother who was suffering from Alzheimer's and had a disability which restricted her from performing her activities of daily living. She was a strong, independent woman and she always encouraged me to be God fearing, self-sufficient, empathic, loving, compassionate, trustworthy, and warm. These attributes have served me well not only among friends and family but the very clients I have worked with for years and establishing a lasting connection with them. Care giving has always been a passion because it is both fulfilling and rewarding which is why being admitted into college to pursue a degree in Nursing is a great accomplishment because it will provide me with more skills and knowledge to provide quality care for my clients.

I am a single mom living in Mechanicsville, VA. I love caring for people and have much experience with that. I currently am a health aide for someone 3 days a week but in another month or 2, I should be back to twice a week. I am able to take one of those days I am off and work anywhere from 7am-5pm.

I became interested in being a caregiver for my grandparents. I was able to be with them until they passed away in there own home. It was hard work but I know they wanted to be at home. I did everything for them. All of the meal prep cleaning, took care of all of the bathroom issues but with respect and lovingly. Tending to them. I'm a mother to 4 children . Lost my partner 5 years ago. Two of my kids are in college and two in high school. I'm able to work many shifts.
