I am an Optimal Aging caregiver \"Diamond Partner\" I charge $20-$25 an hour. I have a background check on hand. I started caring for my grandma, who had a stroke after my grandpa died. She needed help with pet care, reading, driving, cleaning up, cooking etc. Later I went to college and volunteered with a local senior care facility where I helped with personal and physical needs as well as companionship. I have worked with many Alzheimer and dementia clients as well as clients with physical and mental challenges. With my clients I have a patient and calm demeanor. Working with people to accomplish the things important to them is important to me. I love helping clients who need assistance to participate in art classes, gardening, museums, shopping and more. I have worked with people over the years who have different abilities, religions, personal preferences and ages. Each person is unique and I try to be respectful and honoring to them all. I am a licensed HCA with varied work experiences and references. I am available to work in the Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, and Mercer Island areas.

I have worked with different clients and I have worked at a facility, adult family home, and one on one care. Caregiver is a great job that helps me to meet with different people and see the world in a different way. Being able to help another person is what I always wanted since I was young. Being a caregiver gives me an understanding of what other people go through. I even decided to pursue my education in public health because I wanted to learn different ways to help people. I have been a caregiver for almost 3 years now and I love it.

My girlfriend, who is a nursing student and a caregiver, recommended that I become a caregiver due to the lack of men in the field, my patience with those in need, and my desire to help others. I was skeptical at first, but have since worked with all kinds of patience with all kinds of needs. From a seventeen year old with autism to a forty year old with late stage MS, to an eighty seven year old with Parkinson's and Dementia. I have come to enjoy my clients and feel honored to assist them in their day to day lives.

I'm name is Tae! I have been a full time nanny for the past 2 1/2 years. Recently I had the opportunity to be home for 2 months helping look after my grandfather. During this time I learned how much the older generation has to offer to young adults in this day in age. I got an even bigger reward knowing how much relief I brought to my grandfather by being able to help him with things like grocery errands, medication reminders and just company to talk to. I found a new passion I didn't know was inside me and decided to give this feeling a full time try by finding someone in need of my assistance. :)

Since I was little nothing excited me more than helping people emotionally mentally and physically. When I was in my junior year of high school I had the opportunity to get my CNA license and it's the best decision I've ever made. The best part of my job is getting to know the people I take care of. Learning of their past and experiences and being able to gain trust and loyalty in one another is so important to me. I'm going to school for my BSN and I feel so fortunate to be a part of the medical field and get some insight.

Having 96 and 97 year old great grandparent, it is very easy for me to communicate with elderly people. Even if it means answering the same question many times. I have had three other grandparents pass away within the last year and I have lots of experience with hospice care. My grandpa also had Lewie Body dementia and I could lovingly take care of him, even during his sun-downer hours.
