I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others and I want to add a little inspiration to the lives of others.I love being a caregiver because I can make a difference in somebody"s day.I am proud to be on a journey as a caregiver ,because I will be working on my RN to return to longterm care or in home care as well. I am compassionate, motatived, caring, teachable, and dependable. Trained in cpr certification, Hiv/ethics trained, body mechanics trained .I want to help others live a better quality of life in whatever stage of the journey that one may be in.I believe in restoring dignity, pride, and comfort to all. Caregivers are to be so much to the resident we are thier comforter,protector,encourager, helper, confident,to bring the quality of life that each resident deserves. Caregivers also are the eyes and an ears for the families that is depending on us to help make a difference in thier love ones life.Caregivers are also the communication line between the nurse and the resident.

It is in my nature to care for others who cannot care for themselves. I was raised in a culture that us young people's job is to care for our elders in our family. It was ingrained me from the beginning of time. For that reason, I am going to school pursuing Nursing because I know in my heart getting up every day to care for others will not just be a career, but it is something that I am passionate about to do every day. I am also a very compassionate, loving, friendly and a very positive person. I do not have professional experience in Caregiver, but I have a whole lot of experience starting at the age of 7 learning how to be a caregiver in my family. I had taken care of a lot of grandmothers, grandfathers, uncle, aunts and disable cousins as well. I believe for that reason, it played a big part developing my personality and into the person I am today.

Hello, I have wanted to do nothing more than care for others. My background started with taking care of my grand motherhad a living women who had dementia and then the on set of Alzheimer's disease, she and she also rare bone disease had had to have monthly transfusions. Miss party time when needed I am taking care of some one with dementia. My care for others the been one of my best assets I have not been perfect in some of my decisions but my care and love for others people is a plus.

I was recently a 24/7 caregiver to a C3 quadriplegic. After he passed away, I decided to get my CNA license. Recent background check recently passed with Covenant Medical and a copy is available. BLS (CPR) and first aid certified. I do have a recent TB negative, physical exam and CNA certification. I am currently employed at a local assisted living/memory care facility and also have experience in a skilled nursing facility, but would prefer working in home health.

Hello, My grandmother fell ill about 2012, and this prompted me to start helping her out. She has always been a huge part of my life and to see her helpless really hurt me. I decided to help her out as much as I could and took on the role as her caregiver. I provided her meals and helped with transportation. I also ran errands for her and massaged sore parts of her body. I would also administer medication for her and remind her of her need to take her medicine. I would also just provide her with companion care. Listen to her stories and make her laugh. It really made me realize how special the elderly are and how there needs to be more people with a compassionate heart to take care of them.

I enjoy being a caregiver because I like helping people who may not be able to care for themselves. I like getting to know my clients, and hear stories about their lives; people who are elderly always have stories and life lessons to share. I have taken care of 5 clients at a time in a facility, and I have taken care of a single resident as a live in caregiver. Clients tend to get comfortable with me very quickly because they can see that I care, and I genuinely want to help them.

I love kids I love playing with them keeping them active seeing them happy making sure there happy let them tell me what they like to do for fun. I have a little boy myself that keeps me in my toes but I love him to death and will do anything for him.

I became a caregiver after i watched my grand mother decline in health. She went from stable to needed assisted living in a matter of days. It was tough watch her health disintegrate and i was worried about the quality of care she would receive. From that moment on, I decided i would help others in their battles of watching a loved on struggle with health/mental issues. I love everything about care giving, especially the stories I get told from my clients. In 2009 I had a miscarriage of what would have been my first child, I was enrolled in EMT classes at the time and had a difficult time forgiving myself but only one year later, and by surprise, i have birth to a healthy baby boy! Despite all the rigorous physical exertion required by NYS to be an EMT, my bean survived and thrived! That is a personal story that i am so proud of! I am a 25 year old female who thrives on improving the lives of every one around me and i love to be part of a family and help others.

My name is Suzanne :) I am married with two children, 16 year old daughter and 14 year old son. My son has special needs and requires full assistance. I am patient and love to make others feel included, special and of value! Although I do not have a medical background, I am happy and comfortable to serve all ages with any medical condition. I am willing to do a short outing with the individual as well. Whatever is needed to better their life and make it enjoyable! Would love to help with meal prep, groceries and lodger housekeeping too!

I have been doing this kind of work for over 15yrs. I took care of relatives who became disabled. I also worked as a Special Staff Assignment for developmentally disabled in several different group homes & day programs. Helping out with behavioral & staffing problems. I've worke d for a couple of home health agencies & nursing facilities not listed on my resume trying to keep my resume short. I was always sent to the most difficult cases because I just have the knack of communicating and helping people to get the right care. I'm in the process of testing out for my CNA license.
