I became a caregiver for the elderly because in this world we have to live life to the fullest and so with doing so I'm here to help. I consider myself a good caregiver because I'm really patient,kind I take my job seriously and I feel like everyone needs to be treated good and I enjoy working with different people. I became a caregiver because I enjoy working with different people , and I have a handicapped brother who I love and enjoy working with. I have a lot of knowledge caring for the elderly because I've worked in several nursing homes in the past, I have learned so much there and now i'm trying to assist a loving person and families that will give me the chance and opportunity to show what I'm capable of. What I know is that the elderly are in need of good care and assistance, there is no time to play around and be distracted, it is serious business! Personally, I wouldn't want my mother or any close relative that age to be treated poorly. A little bit about myself, I have previously worked at Silverado Senior Living home and I really enjoyed the bond that you achieve with each and every person that you care for. I learned so much about life and people and it really showed me to truly appreciate life. I am also CPR/First Aid certified. I also went through EMT Training, I did graduate however I chose not to pursue that for my career as doing 24 hours shifts became too much. I am currently in online classes to obtain my license as a real estate agent so I am available whenever you would need as I do not have to go to an actual school building. I am a people person and I have always enjoyed caring for people. I look forward to meeting the future families who consider me and I can assure you I will not let you down and I will treat your family member in need as if they were my own family member. I became a caregiver because I loved helping helping others that had a hard time doing things for themselves are just couldn't do it. My journey in caregiving started in 2005 with my cousin's mother in law.we all called her grandma.grandma lived with her daughter and my cousin and each time I visited,I always had a good laugh with her.she would always want me to help her with showers,her hair and makeup.she loved telling me her stories of back in the days.according to her,I had a good listening ear.when grandma got sick and needed a caregiver,it was natural that I was called to be her caregiver.caring for the elderly comes naturally to me.i enjoy all the sweet memories they share with me.and being able to get them to partake and enjoy the activities they enjoyed in their hay days,is a personal achievement for me.
