Hi, my name is Hillary Hetrick. I have been in the Healthcare field since 2004. I was a certified nurse assistant for six years, and a caregiver for five years. I have experience with taking care of the elderly, disabled people, and people with mental health disorders. I also am a pet-friendly person who doesn't mind helping with a dog or cat. I love cooking your favorite meals, cleaning and organizing, gardening, fulfilling your shopping needs, providing transportation to doctor appointments or recreational activities, or just being there as a friend. Hello! My name is Mikayla. I became a caregiver because I find it to be the most fulfilling career and lifestyle. I enjoy helping others and feel that I will be doing this for all of my life. I plan on pursuing a career in nursing and wanted to start in home health first to gain experience. My past three or so years working in in-home health has given me so much knowledge and really made it clear that healthcare is where I want to be. My absolute favorite part of being a caregiver is the relationships you build with the clients and how important they do become. I am an avid crafter, gardener and cook. I enjoy walks, pets of all types, especially dogs. I like to watch hockey, cooking shows and comedies. I worked for many years at Holy Redeemer Hospital, on a Medical-Surgical floor, and, later, a floor specializing in Respiratory and Neurological difficulties.(ie., asthma, strokes, seizures) .I worked briefly, at Rydal Park,, on an Alzheimer's Unit. Later, I worked at Lafayette Redeemer Assisted Living Unit, focusing on the physical/mental/emotional needs of the residents. Excellent assessment skills, and quick to respond in emergencies. Proficient in documentation, and communicating with other medical staff. I've been a companion/caretaker, and nurse-if so dictated, for the past 8 years, at private residences. First,-for a woman with Alzheimer's, then, for an elderly gentleman with Lewey-Body Disease, and, presently, for a 68 year old woman with Frontal Dementia, now on Hospice care. I am trustworthy, kindhearted, and caring. CPR. and First-Aid certified.. I practice the continuing education courses for RN's every two years, as required by the state. I am also willing and able to run miscellaneous errands, such as grocery shopping, transport to and from Dr's appointments, pick up medications, or anything else someone would need. I am very attentive, and patient to the needs of others who are unble to totally care for themselves as they once were accustomed to doing. I realize this causes depression to set in having been through some trying times in my own life it made me think about how can my storm bring some sunshine to someone else.
