I am a very compassionate, goal driven, loving person. I love to help others. I am a RN. BSN . I am mother of 3 children. I enjoy taking care of others and helping them with their daily routines.

Currently, I am enrolled in an accelerated nursing program at Roseman University of Health Sciences. I have worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant throughout Arizona from hospitals and clinical settings to nursing homes, assisted living and home health. I truly have a passion for caring for others and making a difference. I love learning and getting know new people as well as finding at least one thing to make someone who is not feeling so great feel better. School has not always been easy for me because of how expensive it is to go. I worked and went to school full-time throughout my first degree. I am most proud of overcoming my fear of going back to school and pursuing my nursing degree that I will finish by October 2015. Something about me is that I was born and raised in Arizona and I am the youngest of 4 and the only girl. I played banked-track roller derby for Arizona and was awarded Most Valuable Player for 2 games in a row last year.

I became a care giver long before I knew I was one, I love taking care of others it has become natural for me to be compassionate and caring without fail. I have had many wins in this line of work that I do ,I can't say that one achievement stands out more than others but I will say that my heart is in the right place ,and my patients are always pleased with me .

I become a caregiver because I am a caring person who enjoys being helpful to people. I take great pleasure in making people feel secure when I am around them. When I was scheduled by "Vising Angels" to take care of an elder lady who broke her hip 4 years ago, I felt proud to receive several gift card from the company for loyalty and recommendation by the client. Working in Healthcare and customer service fields all my life inspired me to focus on patient based care. Ideally, I would be with one patient at a time providing excellent one-on-one care. 1. I initially became a CNA because I was working two jobs and was unhappy, I felt like I needed a job that allowed for a better chance at advancement. 2. I truly enjoy helping others, being a CNA allows me to do that and I am able to work on my feet, which is a must. 3. My biggest achievement so far is my daughter. I had her seven months ago and she is the best thing thats ever happened to me. I am also very proud that I was able to deliver without pain medications and she is still breastfeeding! 4. I absolutely love learning new things, I believe in continuous improvement!

I feel what makes me a great caregiver is I can anticipate my patients needs most times without having to have a conversation as to the what and why’s. I became a caregiver because I wanted to help people, I have 10 years experience and have worked with all backgrounds and ages of people. Hi, My names Vanessa and I got cna certified through Medstar Academy in 2015. My first job was at Sun Health long term and rehab center in Sun City West. I worked in the long term and rehab for about 8 months. I am very knowledgeable with total care patients which includes lifts, grooming, bathing etc. I currently work at Boswell Banner now for about 5 months doing almost the same skills except now I draw blood and do EKGs. What inspired me to start in health care is my grandma was put in a nursing home due to stroke she lived there until she passed in 2009 due to negligence. If I can make a different to ensure a patient is properly cared for I know my grandma would be very proud of me. So my job isnt just a job its personal and I hold my standards high in quality patient care. Thanks......
