I love providing home care-giving service to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their face let me know I have done my job right. I have always enjoy helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients' lives and make a difference to them. Meeting new people and providing care-giving services that they can no longer do for themselves. In 1994 my grandmother was diagnose with a brain tumor, at the time I was in college and living with her, I then decided to put college on hold and asked my grandmother to list all the things she want to do in life. Disney World was our first stop, second Negril, Jamaica, third was visiting family who live in different states that she has not seen for a long time. Grandmother passed within eighteen months. Being a caregiver can be one of the most rewarding experiences of one's life. I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exception or excuses. I also bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a clients' day, that means a lot to me. I am compassionate, trustworthy, respectful, caring, supportive, reliable and good nature/friendly.

I became a Caregiver because of a personal experience with my first child. My daughter had Wilms tumor 3rd stage cancer at 8months old. I l love the rewards and lives that I made a difference to.I just recently transferred a client to a Chicago ALF, after taking care of him and his wife for almost a year,sad to part but he needed to be around family after his wife passed,Very rewarding the family I worked with. Dating back to about 20 years ago on into the presence, I've worked in long term care with senior citizens as a certified CNA and caregiver. I've always had a special place in my heart for the elderly population. Very often, in my younger years, I found myself captivated by their eagerness for life as well as the wisdom that they bestowed upon anyone who was willing to listen. As I grew older, I realized that this fascination. I harbored for them was not just any ordinary fascination, but rather a deep passion. I crave the knowledge they are willing to pass on, I love the energy that they give off and I enjoy being a part of their life at any given opportunity.

Where I grow up we were trained to care for each other no matter they are not part of your family but just offer help if it's needed. I have the desire or the urge to provide my assistance to others.
