Hello my name is Krista and I have been in the health care field for 17+yrs. I have worked in several different places including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, memory care facilities and private home health. I would love the opportunity to care for your loved one in their time of need.

Being a caregiver is meant for me, I'm very passionate about what I do. I love to helping mt patients and getting to know them and making them comfortable as if I was there family. I mostly enjoy bonding with the people I take care of. Two of my favorite hobbies are art and writing poems when I'm not doing school work and I'm also a black belt in karate.

I am compassionate in my work; I love to be helpful to people, and I enjoy being around others. I became a caregiver because I wanted to be a caregiver because I wanted to make a difference in someone's life positively. I have always said if I was able to have a super power it would be to cure and take care of the ill and weak. I am capable of fulfilling my wish by being a caregiver.

What I love about being a caregiver and what attracts me to it is the idea of helping the cycle, what I mean by that is when you're a child you're helped taken care of, and again when you're an elder so I enjoy the idea of helping along the way. I believe I'm a kind and patient person and would love the opportunity to help you or your family member with their needs.

I have always wanted this to be my career. I guess it's because I enjoyed taking care of my grandmother who passed away. I feel as though when you are elderly and/or an infant you need special care because you can't do most of the things an average young adult can do. I was volunteering at an Adlut Daycare center in Raleigh as a companion. I have worked at a home care agency doing live-ins and or whatever they needed me to do. I love to help others its in my heart and if I see someone older in need I like to help them because most people don't and I wish that there were more people like me who cared.

I am a very caring and empathetic person, I really enjoy working with the elderly! I feel as though I am giving back. Just knowing that I would help someone made me feel so excited for this type of position! I do not look at it as if it were just a job, I like to grow with my clients, get to know them, their families, what they like/dislike so that they feel comfortable knowing that I am their caregiver

If you were to ask any of my family members or friends to describe me in 3 words they would be, compassionate, nurturing and caring. I myself can see where this to be true. I am a junior at University of North Florida studying Long Term Care, and plan to continue my education to receive my Bachelors in Nursing concentrating in Gerontology . I always knew I had a passion for the elderly, even as a little girl. I have always treasured my relationships with my grandparents. 7 years ago, my grandma was diagnosed with Cancer, I spent countless hours spending time with her, taking her to appointments, grocery shopping, house keeping, staying with her in hospitals, taking her shopping, etc. 4 years ago, I lost her, and since then I've had a calling to care for seniors, and provide them with the care and companionship they need. A personal achievement I am proud of is being an ambassador for the United States as a Foreign Exchange Student for Rotary International, to be accepted requires an intense application process, as well as a panel interview, as it is very competitive. After being selected out of 100 applicants, to be 1 of the 20 students studying abroad in 2013, I spent 9 months in Spain, learning the culture, language and meeting amazing people. With this achievement, it proves my perseverance and dedication to shoot for the stars at all times.

I'm cr I am currently in school to become a nurse. I love working with elderly residents/people. Worked with geriatrics for the last 15 to 18 years of my life. It brings great joy to me as well as great joy to the ones I work with.

The only thing I can say about this line of work I chose is that , it's a blessing . And I just want to be a companion, a friend , a listening ear or whatever it is my clients need while they need it as well as being a care giver . This job is much more then just being a caregiver to me , to me it has more value in it then just the work that needs to be done . And I'm proud to say I have a certificate of completion for Direct Care Staff Training And Competency , I have my adult residential License I completed in 2019 .

I'm compassionate, have patiences , reliable and I absolutely love what I do. I love helping the elderly. Hearing all the stories about back in their days is amazing to me. I took care of my grandma for the last year of her life. She is the reason why I wanted to be a caregiver. She had a heart or gold and I've been told I'm just like her.

What makes me a great caregiver is my love for the elderly. I treat each client/resident the same exact way I would want my parents or grandparents treated. I love helping those that need help, and what attracted me to being a caregiver would probably be the fact that I love to keep someone company. I hate for anyone to feel alone, I'm always have an open ear to someone that needs someone.

I have lived in the Knoxville area since 1994. I started out as a K-8 teacher, teaching mainly the little guys. (Kindergarten and 1st grade) After the birth of each of my children I stayed home with them. In 2012 I decided to try something new, making the decision to become the Healthy Lifestyles Director for an Assisted Living. The residents lit up my life. As my grandmother became ill with Alzheimers I wanted to give her the love, compassion, and patience that she had given me my entire life. It was truly special and precious to be there for her. Having her at home was a blessing. However, it was apparent that help was needed at times, as daily tasks needed to be maintained for the rest of the family too. Finding the right agency or person to trust to come into our home was a difficult decision to make, after all this is your family member and home!! After her passing, I decided to become a nurse so I could help others who had a loved one at home in need of assistance. I am currently certified as a CNA, BLS certified, and have started my junior term classes in nursing school. My personality is lighthearted, upbeat, and patient.
