Retired Peace Officer from The State of California. I am 61 yrs old. My husband and I are both retired I have 5 adult children ages 29-42, 9 grandchildren. Very compassionate about the care I provide to the clients. I to was faced with the decision to bring my father home (1986) to provide care. I feel it's the best thing I could have done in order to know exactly who I am and in fact it's a calling to provide these services.

I am an energetic, responsible and patient individual. I love taking care of people because it gives me the ability to meet new people and new stories. I learn about new experiences and gain more knowledge because no information is useless.

I started in the nursing field at a very young age. I recieved my cna certification in 1994. My main goal was i loved helping people and making a difference in someones life for the better. I took a few years off to raise my own family. I have since gone back into the nursing field and have worked in home health care which i love.

I'm a mom of 3 and newly wife to my husband named Jon ! I love being a caregiver. The reasons why is because i love helping people. My favorite thing is seeing a smile on the patients face when i come in and start helping with the everyday needs.

I'm a great caregiver because I have passion for it and delligent in it .I was attracted to be a caregiver through my grandmother, what I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the companionship and inspiration I get from the resident and i truly have passion caring for people. I am compassionate, dependable and trustworthy. I have always had a passion for helping others. I currently mentor youth at North Fayette Elementary as well as help care for my mother in law who lives with me. I truly developed a desire for becoming a caregiver during my mom's demise, and saw how the attention and care was needed during her transition. I hope to help others in this way to ensure they are given and shown similar loving and special care.

I am currently in school working on two degrees. One degree is LVN, and the other is Gerontology. I hope to eventually work as a hospice LVN. I have about 5 years caregiving experience, and also hold a medical assistant diploma and nursing assistant training.

I love taking care of the elderly, they are in need of companionship and someone to take great care of them. There really isnt anything I dont like about my job, I mostly enjoy building relationships with them and their families ensuring families that they are in the best of hands and are taken care of with love. Im mostly proud of knowing that while taking on hospice patients that their last days were made as comfortable as possible and with kind and gentle care. Allot of my clients have had wishes before passing and I have been able to make some come true such as taking them to favorite restaurant to have a meal, pick out certain outfits for when the day comes that they pass what they will wear at their viewing. Simple things that would make it easier on their families. I'm a strong compassionate home health aide/certified nursing assistant I take great pride in my job and in everything that I do. I have an outgoing personality and will do my best with all that is presented to me.

I became a caregiver when my loves got older n no longer needed me. So I decided to share my love and knowledge. Attend ing college n receiving a degree in criminal justice to be come an social worker.I want to be of help to anyone who needs it.

My passion for caregiving grew more as I attended LVN School. I Love the feeling of being able to help others and getting a positive feedback. Theirs no other joy than to see the person I provide care for smile.

I grew up in Belarus Speak and read English studied at Evans Community Adult Scool My father got heart attack and stroke In the same time his leg was amputated as a result of thrombosis Cared for him and his roommate in the hospital as there was not enough nursing staff I developed the desire to help and care for the elderly and disabled And I am doing that now for 14 years

I'm a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Certified Home Health Aide(California Dept of Public Health),with over three years experience in Hospice, Alzheimer's and Dementia Care, as well as experience in bathing, grooming and dressing, food/nutrition management, safety supervision, ambulation and transfers, medication reminders, and various activities of daily living. I was born in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. My dad a Baptist Pastor and mom ( the woman on my profile picture)a fine Christian woman. Both parents are naturalized US Citizens. My experienced with seniors goes as far back as I can remember. As a child, I worked with my mom, whose home was a place of choice for her elderly friends and relatives. At an early age, I learned the importance of patience and empathy, as they are required in effectively supporting the unique needs of the elderly; they commonly experience disorientation and agitation. I was shaped and molded in a culture where there is immense respect for seniors. The elderly I provide services to are treated as I would treat my mom and dad, whom I so dearly loved, cherish and respect.

1. My family was involved in an automobile accident one summer. Even though I was just five years old It was not hard to tell which nurses and doctors loved their jobs. There was one nurse in particular that I still remember. The compassionate care she offered during that tragic time is the reason I have chosen nursing as my profession. 2. I like being a caregiver because I get the opportunity to make a positive impact on a patient and family that are going through a scary/difficult time. I like the friendships I've made with clients and staff. What I love most is bumping into a former patient outside the facility and they still remember me by name. 3. I am a caregiver by nature, genuinely interested in the wellbeing of others. I take my responsibilities seriously, seeking what needs to be done and doing it right.
