I have always been a caretaker and compassionate person. I've been taking care of my own Mother for almost two years who is disabled and has early onset Dementia. Although challenging at times I know I'm doing what's right for her by keeping her in her own home. I treat all of my clients this way. They deserve the utmost respect I'm able to give.

I believe I have became a great caregiver because I treat people the way I would want to be treated as if it was me or a family member of mine that couldn't take care of themselves. I made the choice in 1994 to become a caregiver after visiting a nursing home because I saw a lot of elderly people looking helpless which touched me deeply, so I felt if I worked there I could help them. One achievement that I am proud of right now is overcoming my fears of going back to school for nursing. I am 39 years old I have three daughters ages 21, 19, and 15. I love helping people. I consider myself a down to earth person, I am an emotional person when it comes down to me explaining something that I feel was wrong. I love to work . I am currently in school working towards my nursing career. Hopeful I can come across a job that will pay me by experience.

Having been in the nursing field for about 13 years, I have recently graduated from CSULB with a degree in Theater Arts, also developing my interest in Fine Arts & Film. Nursing has been my financial backbone while being able to pursue my dreams as an artist. I am happy to provide good people with great quality care, and I am especially happy when the two worlds of art & healthcare can meet. I have provided training some of my patients to help develop their interests as well in subjects such as art/crafts, video editing, writing, music, & other interests. I lead an active lifestyle, with yoga as my foundation of mind body awareness. I am open to so many ways of life, as culture & spirituality are often an essential part of my projects and lifestyle. I am a very caring and compassionate young individual. I love my life and everyone in it. I have 3 beautiful children 1 boy 2 girls whom stay at home with stay-at-home-dad! What pursuaded me to go into this profession is watching my mother work at a nursing facility as I was younger. At first I was scared but then later on I found out they were just as you and I. I would go to the nursing home after school and sit with the little ladies and do their hair. As I got older I knew that this is what I truely wanted to do with my life and that was to give back to the senior community and others who are less physically able to do so by themselves.

I started being a caregiver with the care of a family friend who was in her 80's. I would take her to her doctors appointments, the senior club for actives, I would pick her take her home, cook and serve meals, and lived in the home with her. I like giving our seniors the help and care they need in their later years of their life. I have received an award for my driving skills. I am continuing my education to get my degree.

1. Because I like helping children and the elder. It makes me feel good that the Lord can use me to help people in need. 2. I like meeting new people, and I like it that I can make them smile. 3. One of my personal achievements is raising my 2 girls. One is in college and the other is in 8th grade. 4. I am a little bashful, but I am a likable person who cares for people no matter what the problem and children just love me because I get down to their level to work and play with them.

When at the end of my care with my patient, he or she, is completely recuperated. And when my patients feel comfortable, no pain, most with cancer, or another terminal sickness. I am a Teacher in Guatemala, I came to Los Angeles in 1996, I was teaching there at this time for 20 years, I become a Caregiver in the same year 1996, when I met a retirement hotel for elderly people and started taking care a lady that could not see anything, was completely blind, and I saw the necessity of these people, and I took a decision, become a Caregiver for those people, and because I would like to have care from somebody in the same way that I do with my patients.

Helping to take care of my grandfather I knew I was going to be in the healthcare. I am very compassionate when it comes to helping other. I take my work seruios. If I see something worg, I am the first person to say something.

I became a certified nurses assistant in 2005, I am also CPR certified, I am up to date on all compliance and I am certified in bloodborne pathogens and hand hygiene. I became a caregiver because I love to help people who are unable to help themselves. Being a caregiver gives me the opportunity to make clients that need help still feel independent. I am proud that I attended College but yet to finish! I have two daughters, my own vehicle, clean driving record, and reside in Hammond Indiana.

I started when my husband was in a wheelchair in 1995-2000. Then I work with crippled children, mentally ill clients in there homes. Then I went to school for my CNA/HHA. I love been a Caregiver because there's a lot of people that need companionship and caring and a friend that actually listen's to them. I'm proud of myself for getting my license. I'm a single mom with 2 boys. I love working mostly with senior's. I'm a person who likes to try different careers specially to work with people like hands on and companionship.
