I became a Caregiver to help my Grandmother. I loved being able to help my Grandmother because she needed help. I am proud of the fact that because I was a Caregiver for my Grandmother she lived to be 93 years old. I worked at Michael Reese Hospital for 30 years in the Admitting Department until the closing of the hospital in 2009.

I am a very reliable worker with a passion for helping others.

I have worked with various different types of people. I am very caring and enjoy taking care of people. I have 4 kids that I loved raising. I came from Jordan in 1996. I enjoy meeting new people and helping them.

I'm a certified home health aide with 2 years experience. I'm a full time preferred care giver m-fri so I'm available evenings and weekends. I love to help people it makes me happy because everyone needs someones help every now and then. I'm looking to start studying nursing to further my education soon.

A few things about me and my role as a caregiver are that I'm friendly, kind, compassionate, understanding, and hard working. For 10 years, I have worked as a caregiver under two professional services, ROI in Michigan and Help-at- Home in Northwest Indiana. Knowing I could make a difference in their life and seeing a smile on their face brings joy and purpose to my life! What inspired me to get into caregiving was my Grandma. In the beginning, she just needed help with little things. Then, as time passed she needed all around care. It felt good to help her. I saw a need that I knew I could fulfill, not only for her, but others too. A personal achievement that I am most proud of was becoming an APC (Assistant Program Coordinator). I had applied 2 other times and didnt get the job. I had to build more skills and fight harder for it and the people I loved to help. I am thankful for the experience it has helped me to be a better caregiver.
