I watched my grandmother work as an RN while growing up. She was very passionate with her clients and listened to what they had to say. She only worked for one doctor during her entire career as a nurse. Since working as a CNA at a few facilities I have witnessed people not being a team player. When you don't have a good team. It is bad for the residents and the company it self. I enjoy helping the client be at home for as long as possible. Within this area I get satisfaction watching the family and friends get to visit as often as possible. Also the moments were the client remembers something and sharing their happiness with me. Most of my clients last longer because they got to enjoy their homes and not being forced somewhere else. I have been a CNA for 13 yrs and 8 yrs as a HHA. I hope to stay a Home Health worker until I retire.

This methodology works perfectly with old people and those with memory troubles, because clients themselves they know what is going on in their house daily and sometimes they get to master the routine of what is being done. I realized that clients are happy when they can participate in decision making of is done in their houses based on this agenda method (Eg, cleaning the house, medical appointments, Exercises, bathing, entertainments,...) On my current job, I brought my client back to the normal rhythm of enjoying his meals and snack, when he was losing appetite due to depression.
