Hi there! I'm Tara and I've been a care giver for 5 years. I am a team player, compassionate, always learning, and love helping others. Compassion is the most important quality when it comes to caring for others. I specialize in Senior care and have 2 years experience with Alzheimer's and Dementia. I've handled medications, ADL's, housekeeping, and strive to create relationships with my clients/family. I got my CNA (expired) when I was 17 in order to begin caring for others and start my experience with the medical field. I hope to finish my Masters in Health Administration at PSU. I enjoy cultivating relationships and improving the quality of life of my clients. I am most proud of participating on a discussion panel for The Oregonian on Memory Care. We discussed better ways to support our seniors and the caregivers/support roles we need.

Hello there, I'm currently a Nursing student at Warner Pacific. However, have had a lot of experience as a stationed and traveling CNA, helping residents of all ages and circumstances. I love my job and thought I would broaden my horizons with this platform-- helping families and individuals with care in the comfort of their home.

Since I was a little girl taking care of my grandmother I knew I was ment to take care of people . I enjoy helping and finding solutions for families who need help . why I did become a caregiver? I became a caregiver because I care I like to help I like to do things for them like to take care of them I love what I do.what do I like about being a caregiver is because I am there for them when they need someone I'm there for them for companionship she cares and loves our supportwhat is a personal achievement I am proud of is I made them fill that they are wanted that they are needed and I am there for them to cook to clean to do errands to do shopping whatever they need me to do I will be there it will only take one phone call.I will tell you something about myself is that I'm very trustworthy I'm very loyal I'm very honest I'm a very happy person and I love what I do not only for myself but for others that's what makes me happy because I know that I can do my job and at the end of the day I go home not only with a smile on my face but also knowing that I made my people happy as well they can depend on me.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm very empathetic and caring, I also pay attention to detail very well. Helping people is what attracted me to the healthcare field, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. Helping those needing care, and the smiles you get in return really make the job worth it for me. I tend to go above and beyond with the care I provide for my residents. Because of this, I have seen huge growth in happiness and drive to keep going with my residents. Whether it's them being excited and happy to start everyday or completing physical therapy milestones.

I am a dedicated full time caregiver, I primarily have experience with home care but a do have brief assisted living facility training which included providing services to aid in memory care, physical care and psycho-emotional care optimizing residents' quality of life. All my life, growing up, my mother was a CNA and brought me along with her to her individual support homes. That initially sparked my interest in helping others. Eventually, I learned that not only did I love helping people, but I loved hearing their life stories and family history. As time went on, I gained experience as a caregiver, CNA, and just graduated college in 2020 as a Medical Assistant. For the last 6 years now, I have dedicated my life and career to serving the people of our community. Aside from healthcare, I served in the Army for a total of 5 years (3 active duty, 2 Reserves). Traveling was fun and exciting, but I missed home. Family is my biggest priority for myself and my clients. Supporting one in a way that promotes their best quality of life is what I strive for and take pride in. In my off time, I like baking, hiking, and enjoying time home doing puzzles or watching movies. One could describe me as outgoing, sarcastic, friendly, caring, empathetic, enthusiastic, compassionate, responsible, disciplined, and loyal. I initially went int the field of Medical Assisting in order to make a difference in the lives of our older population. As a child of seven I started doing volunteer work with my grandmother at nursing homes. This has continued throughout my lifetime. As a young mother I took my babies to visit the patient/residents of nursing homes that did not get visitors. While I was earning my degree I worked at an assisted living at night. I especially enjoyed being in the dementia unit. After I completed my degree I moved to Lincoln City to be near my mother who is not in good health. She has a caregiver and I am here as her daughter. I do help out to give my father and her caregiver a break.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others to maintain the best quality of life that we all deserve, in this lifetime. I believe in treating others with the same respect and dignity that I would like for myself. One of my personal achievements so far is working with a child that has gone from being very shy and scared of people both privately and publicly to becoming a very brave and smart kindergartener.
