I am an four-year experienced caregiver, who is energetic, intelligent, compassionate, optimistic person .I chose a helping career as my 2nd career, Retired from mental health counseling,and I can't stop the need forproviding a caring service ! I have found great satisfaction in private care giving especially for older adults. I have experience with clients recovering from cancer, late stage Alzheimer's, care of Ostomy bags, stroke survivors, shadowing with gait belts, counseling depression, from all walks of life. I am a retired master-degree, mental-health counselor, who specialized in older-adult counseling, and had a corporate business management for my first career. And, yes, in the course of my service for healthy support, I perform-- or assisted with-- the light, but essential household duties in support of the well being of my clients. Hey there! My journey into Care giving stems from my compassionate heart, caring for my aged love ones at age 13. I helped care for my grandparents and in recent years, my mother with dementia. Besides having empathy and compassion, I learned patient and understanding through each journey. I'm reliable and diligent at multi tasking from personal care to housekeeping. I enjoy helping people when they are at home and not ready to go to a facility. I come from a big family so I have had a lot of experience with errands and helping the elderly. I like to shop and cooking as well as being a companion. I've worked with a lot of men and women over the years and learned from each one. I've had CNA training and have worked in faculties but I always come back to In-Home service that I love.

As a stylist for many years it has been an easy transfer to have the privilege of being a caregiver and having the opportunity to partner with my client to enhance thier golden years or their first years. I have experience with dementia, Parkinson's, neuropathy, diabetes, ms, heart failure, ulcer, phenylalanine, wheelchair bound patients, fear of shower, medicine resistance. If bed bound I like to find most comfortable positions for them, and watch for compression wounds. I have enjoyed being a care giver since high school. Part time in High school & through hair school until current as a side career. I like to get to know the person, find their favorite passions in life and help them in some way to bring a sense of pleasure back into life, (if lost) and if not then walk along side them giving dignity and care wherever needed. I have had the pleasure of making several wonderful friendships which I expect will last into eternity. I have also enjoyed providing everything from companionship with exercise to a fully bed bound friend with MS which included bedside bathing etc. My youngest friend was 102. and even younger still infants. I believe it is a gift to find the gold in each person I meet in life and bring it out.

Years ago, 20+ I was a CNA in Madison Wisconsin for about a year. I worked in two different nursing homes and thoroughly enjoyed being with the elderly and still do! I never had grandparents and I feel a special bond with them. I missed out on those things growing up. I am patient, kind, caring, and ethical in all ways. I always seemed to be the one that took care of patients that others didn't take the ultimate best care of. I root for the underdog in every way and take care by going the extra mile. Always.

Hello my name is Abigail Sanchez Montes I believe I am a great care giver because I get along well with everyone I tend for. I work as a day staff programmer for people who are disabled at the moment which gives me more experience. I used to watch children for 4+ years plus my grandmother in Mexico as well for 5 months. Taking care of my grandmother had attracted me into wanting to be a caregiver since not a lot of people want to watch or care for elders. What I enjoyed most about being a caregiver to my grandmother was the smile on her face because she had someone to talk to everyday and care for her so she wouldn't feel alone. I believe my personal achievement that I am proud of is keeping them on a schedule and being consistent with them. Also knowing the fact that they don't feel as alone and content with my presence.

My personality and expertise on being a care giver comes naturally since I was young. I'm currently working on my second degree as a Medical Office Assistant. I have been helping as a home aide since I was young and continued on throughout my adulthood. I learned it from my grandmother who was a care giver for over 30 years and she taught, showed, and allowed my twin sister and I to assist her in her daily activities as a care giver at a local nursing home and as a private care giver. I adore elderly people. I would go to elderly facilities and visit a few of the patients, sit and chat or join them in the activity of the day there. I have the best personality for carrying, I'm a very patient person, compassionate and helpful. I guess what attracted me to caregiving is my mom, plus my family is full of nurses. What I enjoy most about caring, is being a companion to my client and hearing their life stories. A personal achievement that I'm proud of, would be a client of mine telling that I was a comfort to her and that she was glad to have me around; Hearing that touched my heart.

I am a dependable and compassionate caregiver. I have been working in the home care industry for over 15 years, since my dad got checked in into a rehab facility. I pride myself on being able to quickly learn new skills and adapt to any situation. Hello, My name is Helen Robinson, I have lived in the DFW area about 7 years now by way of Virginia. I started caregiving shortly before I moved to Texas and instantly LOVED it. I thought how lucky am I to find my calling at 22yrs old. Once I started my giving personality took the lead. I learned that I had such neverending patience with situations I was faced with and that alone carried me through allowing me to fully understand each individuals circumstances and meet those needs the best way fit for the client. Being a caregiver has been so naturally rewarding in itself. Being able to help and seeing the relief that such help provided to families and their loved ones is truly what motivated me to keep helping and soon became what I enjoyed most. I enjoy talking to seniors and have a clear voice that is easy to hear. I have no problem talking loud if someone is hard of hearing. I grew up helping some elderly ladies in my church and my grandma. I would mow lawn, clean, take them shopping, and provide much needed visiting and companionship. I would also drive my Grandma to her multiple knee surgeries (7 to be exact), and help care for her post-surgery. My grandma is the one who taught me to be thorough in my cleaning and do work to be proud of. She now has Alzheimer's and doesn't know who I am, but I still enjoy having one sided conversations with her about the good old days. I was an EMT for several years with our local ambulance, so I'm calm in emergencies also. I have a Compassionate heart, love people, and like to laugh.
