We are seeking a dedicated, personable, and attentive live-in caregiver to provide compassionate care for our 82-year-old father. The position requires alternating weeks of 24-hour care (one week on, one week off). Requirements: Must be fluent in English and communicate effectively. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (vehicle provided). Experience administering medications (twice daily) is required. Comfortable with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation (3x daily, healthy meals). Able to assist with daily personal care (showering, grooming, cleanliness). Provide companionship and mental stimulation (patient has mild dementia but is in good health). Encourage outings, physical activity, and accompany to church on Sundays. Monitor the home and communicate any needs (repairs, doctor visits, etc.) to the family. Dog-friendly (small companion dog in the home). Non-smoker preferred. CPR/first-aid training. Responsibilities Include: Administering maintenance medications. Preparing healthy meals and handling groceries/errands. Light housekeeping and laundry. Transporting to/from appointments and outings. Assisting with bathing and personal hygiene. Providing companionship and mental engagement. Monitoring the home and reporting any concerns. In search of a experienced and loyal caregiver to take care of my paraplegic Father, located near Clearwater, FL. Assistance is needed Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at minimum. Caregiver should be able to start April 1, 2025 and is expected to work 8-10 hours per week. Caregiver's duties will include mobility transfer via gait belt/slide board from bed to wheelchair, bathing, toileting, dressing assistance, light meal prep, light house keeping and transferring & mobility via gait belt and slide board back into the bed . Must be able to squat and bend frequently while caregiving. Being a Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and prior experience working as a home health care provider is a definite plus.
