I've been in the service for 27 years now. I have a child with disability, and I learned a lot from him in regard to assisting and helping him. That motivates me helping the elderly people. I also like gardening and outdoor recreations.

I have experience working in assisting living environments. I also been working in in- home care settings. I worked +2 years in working with disabled adults. Skilled in assisting patients with daily activities. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was when I would see my mom caring for her dad and she would have a hard time and she didn't know how to find help and I would try helping her even if it was helping to set up clothes for the day or helpings in making a meal. So now that I'm getting older I want to be prepared to one day be able to personally care for my parents. I'm looking to leverage my passion & commitment to clients well- being to improve their quality of life. I always care for a client the same way I would care for a family member I have compassion, empathy and understanding that they still want to be independent and assist when needed. I took interest in Caregiving 25 years ago when I needed to earn extra money on top of my regular place of employment. Since then I've worked both for an agency and also do private caregiving. I enjoy and find it very rewarding to help someone in need and hope that someday if needed I'll have someone with my abilities and personality to care for me. I find it very rewarding to be there for someone in need and to also meet new people. I once was told that you cannot make caregiving personal and I absolutely disagree with that. Being a Caregiving is an extremely rewarding job. As a Caregivers I take care of our elders, the people who have given so much to this world. Taking care of people is something I'm very proud of. ... Some residents become lonely or sad, but being a great caregiver helpsthem change there mood for the better. What I enjoy most about caregiving is getting to help other people in there time of need.
