I been working in home health aid for few years . Always had the heart and desire to care for the sick and elderly. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver , is most importantly helping the elderly out and making sure they smile before I leave . I am 52yrs old, happily married. My husband and I have a total of 10 children (blended family) I started of in the healthcare field by doing volunteer work at a local hospital in my hometown when I was 12 yrs old. At the age of 16 I became a CNA. Later in life I attended college, majoring as Respiratory Therapist. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is, loving and helping others.

I became a caregiver because I had always wanted to be a nurse when I was younger. Also, my best friend/sister-in-law became very ill at an early age and I had wanted to take care of her but never got the chance as she passed away at age 44. My mom also became ill shortly thereafter and I promised that she would never go to a nursing home. My intention was to care for her in my home, but unfortunately she never made it home from the hospital. I vowed that if I could not help my own family then I would help someone else. I love being able to help people stay in their homes as long as possible and having the family reassured that their loved ones are being cared for in their absence. My personal achievements that I am proud of are being with two of my clients until the end of their life and knowing that I made things a bit easier for their families. As for myself, I am the mother of four sons and grew up with five older brothers.
