I am 52yrs old, happily married. My husband and I have a total of 10 children (blended family) I started of in the healthcare field by doing volunteer work at a local hospital in my hometown when I was 12 yrs old. At the age of 16 I became a CNA. Later in life I attended college, majoring as Respiratory Therapist. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is, loving and helping others.

My mom is a current Social Worker and she owns a Daycare in Nashville TN, where I was a former employee. In high school, I was a peer-tutor for special needs students. I helped the students with their work, helped prepare them for speeches. I also helped them reach their highest potential whether that's emotionally, mentally, or even physically. What makes me a great caregiver is that I listen to what the family needs are and I honor them. Why I became a caregiver is that my young niece was suffering with Stage 4 breast cancer. She had 3 small kids and a husband working to support them and pay for her health care tx. I left my home and went to Louisiana and lived with them for 13 weeks and became her primary caregiver and stayed through hospice until the end. I enjoy getting to know a new patient and their family, just to help with the demands it puts on a family. My greatest achievement as a caregiver was to be able to honor the wishes of my niece and nephew through storms they were facing daily.

Rest assured that if you pick me I will treat your loved ones I see if they were my own. I became a care provider because of a personal experience with my mom. I saw how dedicated they were how thorough they were and I wanted to be able to give something back. I couldn't have done anything without these caregivers, that were there for my mom, so I became healthcare provider as well. I've been in the medical field well over 30 years but there's nothing more rewarding than being able to help people who can help themselves and being able to see them go through all the positive changes.
