I am hard working ,independent , self driven, detail oriented, self motivated, organized, clean, and cheerful person! I have been a caregiver for a little over 5 years, I love helping others with day to day life skills and needs I always knew I wanted to help people and once I finally started to I knew I never wanted it to end! I have been in healthcare for awhile now. I've worked with dementia patients, hospice patients, and most diseases or disabilities you can think of. During my childhood years, caring for my elderly grandparents was a part of my everyday life. They had several health issues and were in and out of hospitals frequently. I was exposed to caregivers in many different settings. The impact that kind, compassionate and informative care-giving made all the difference to me and my family. At the age of 12, I knew nursing was what I wanted to do with my life. As I pursued nursing, I started out caring for patients in a nursing home as a nursing assistant. I loved this, as I got to care for clients, just like my grandparents. The opportunity to establish connections with clients week-to-week was special! After nursing school, I moved to caring for patients in a hospital setting as a Registered Nurse. The hospital experiences have given me a broad scope of skills, whether it is assisting patients with basic self-care needs, changing dressings, managing ventilators or providing education, being able to establish a rapport with patients and their family's is still one of the favorite parts of my job. I love being able to help people understand what is going on with their health and their treatment plan. Just as others demonstrated to my own family, I want each of my clients and their family members to feel safe, cared for and heard.

My name is Ashley and I am a mom to 6 beautiful kids. I have worked with the elderly in a dementia focused nursing home and loved caring for the residents.

I have experience with Asthma, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Cognitive Disability, Developmental Delay, Speech Delay, ADHD, ODD, Dyslexic. I have my Core A and Core B in Med Administration and Diet Textures, First aid and CPR experience, HHA experience, CNA exsperince, DSP exsperince.

I try to connect with a person through their hobbies. I also feel like having a down to earth trying to understand a person personality helps as well. I live in the country, I put out a garden, I help can, I have put on garage sales, I enjoy flee markets. I enjoy history. Being all around knowledgeable for a few things, and willing to learn about others helps out greatly. I enjoy keeping the person stories alive, and seeing them smile, and appreciate the little things. I enjoy caring for and helping the elderly, as well as others who might need assistance. I have been a home health care for about 12 years. I was also CNA certified for 6 years. I have experience especially with Dementia /Alzheimer's , cancer patients and paraplegic patients. I love my job because I feel that the elderly deserve the upmost respect and I strongly believe they deserve the best quality of care.
