I have over 10 years of caregiver experience. I started off as a caregiver to make extra money then I fell in love with the job and the people I care for. Now I'm a full-time caregiver going to school to open my very own elderly day center.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am very compassionate, i pay close attention to the client needs, I am very proud to say that i have been working as a caregiver for the last 7 years, which makes me a good person, i am concern for the well being of the seniors. I am bilingual, also very friendly i am easy to adjust to the client plan of care.

One of the reasons that makes me who I am as a caregiver is the compassion that I have in my heart for my clients and their families. I am a person of integrity, honesty, dependability and concern. It's about giving of myself to my clients and having a sense of the quality of life concerning the lifestyle they have. When I come into their presence a smile comes on their face. I became a caregiver because of my mother's influence. Listening to her talk about her clients was interesting and heart warming and sometimes I felt sad and wanted to help, so I did! The rewards of being a caregiver is caring for those who cannot care for themselves or just needing a little help. Always understanding what care consists of at all times regardless of the situations and circumstances whether it's to assist or just HELP. I love what I do as a caregiver because I have a compassionate heart.

I became a caregiver because my grandmother needed me to help her stay independent and at home. Clients realize I'm their priority I'm there to help with DAL's while allowing them to be in charge. After my assistance with bathing and grooming the client easily picks out clothing for the day ahead. I prepare meals and remind clients to take medication if needed. I make sure a nutritious breakfast is served . They love reminders of family. Viewing family pictures and things in their home that makes it a home again. Clients love when we go for walks to get exercise rather in a wheel chair or walker. Range of motion exercises helps keep the body moving and agile. I'm just their to make them sure of themselves again.

I am a mom of two and an elementary teacher. I am a caring and compassionate person. I enjoy caregiving because I love to help others and believe in humanity.

I love to be able to help others from young to older, did it half of my life. I live in hammond,indiana with my husband and dog. I Enjoy adventures and family time. Being hands on with a person everyday or week you become close and understand them. I have the patience, awareness of my surroundings, fast actions and enjoy helping others. If I don't know what to do I'll look it up or ask lots of questions. I been taking care of my dad for the last 8 years, every Tuesday I take him to his doctor appointments and I also do housekeeping every Friday mornings for the last 2 years.
