I've been a Licensed CNA for 4 in a half years. I've worked in nursing homes assisted livings hospitals and mental/substance abuse units. I'm currently in nursing school, well doing my prerequisites for nursing school at Ivy Tech Community College I'm super proud and excited about that because going back for my R.N has been a goal of mine since i became a CNA back in 2019. I became a registered nurse years ago because there was nothing more important to me than caring for people. I have worked as a home health nurse most of my career and so I have lots of experience that can be utilized but the real joy I received was when I was talking, visiting and caring for my patients. I often wished I could stay all day and so if the request is for dressing, bathing, companionship and other needs without a technical skill that is also perfect because my heart has always been with people not my degree.
