Hello! My name is Ashley, and I would describe myself as someone who is deeply empathetic, caring, and patient. I've been caring for my own family members since a child, I truly get a rewarding feeling from helping those who are in need lives a little easier with my care and assistance. One of the things I take pride in are my family members and patients smiles after making them laugh with my eccentric and bubbly personality ! It's truly a blessing to help make people feel cared for, catered, and valued while doing my job at the same time!

I am passionate and patient I therefore know that people who need care often take longer to complete simple tasks. They may ask the same questions over and over. As a good caregiver , I need patience to deal with anything from a loved one's memory lapses to angry outbursts. I usually practice staying calm and avoiding frustration. Empathy and understanding are absolutely necessary. Even when caring for an abusive person, I aways try to remain empathetic and understanding. Finding something to laugh about can make a tough situation bearable. My sense of humor keeps me emotionally strong and is a great stress buster. I know the importance of respecting their loved one's current abilities. Rather than focusing on what their loved one can no longer do, i try to be in the moment with them -- looking at photos, listening to music, cooking a favorite meal, remembering that they weren't always sick. Therefore that makes me the best and suitable candidate who looks forward to taking care of your loved ones.

I chose to be a caregiver from my childhood taking care of my loved ones in my family whoever got sick and was hospitalized, I was number one to go and take care of them, when I grew up, started to take care of my Mom who had diabetes and High blood pressure, came to America and started working in a small assisted living for people with Alzheimer and my passion for care increased .I was so happy to make a difference in these people and make them smile.

I am an adult Female that has a good listening ear. I take initiative and I am physically active and strong. I have empathy and I like to put myself in my clients shoe and assist them as I would wish to be assisted, no matter the situation or the circumstances. Even if only to make them smile. I naturally like helping people and giving them a hand, leaving a person in a better situation than how I found them. For example, I once found a client, depressed and a year long in a wheel chair. Everyday I would encourage her to take a step, even if one. After six months of this practice; she ended up having leg braces and was walking with them plus a cane. No longer in a wheelchair. This is just one of the many achievements, over the years, that I am proud of, in helping different ages, and people from different population, achieve.
