I have my substitute teaching license permit as well as my certified nursing assistant license. My major in school is Health and Human Services and minor is in psychology. Hello! I have been a caregiver for the past 5 years. Through advancing my career and lifestyle I have always stuck by and taken opportunities to pick up caregiver shifts. I'm a very compassionate and caring person, a mother of 5. I was raised by my great grandparents who are now elderly, I have helped take care of them since I was in my teenage years. My goal in life has always been to help people, which is why I am pursuing my masters degree in Social Work. I love to help those I care for enjoy activities and assist them in daily necessities as well as encourage them into making positive choices. I have 30+ years in home health care with the last 12yrs specializing in spinal cord injury, ventilator, tracheotomy, wound care and hospice. I also have hospital experience, as well as, working with the Alzheimer, dementia, and mentally disabled. Along the way, I also had the pleasure of picking up the ability to learn and communicate with American Sign Language. I am passionate about my career because I love meeting the needs of each client I come in contact with. They teach me about who I am and Why I love my career and able to do what I love to do.
