I am a very down to earth, kind hearted person. I have always loved taking care of people, whether it be babies/kids or the elderly. I love being able to help people and it is very rewarding being a caregiver. Giving them companionship is so rewarding, especially if they don't have family/friends nearby.

I love working with elderly and help them and make sure they get to there doctor appointments grocery shopping and remind them to take there medications and help them prep food for them and help them with some chores around the house and make sure they have clean clothes and i enjoy helping elderly people out i helped my grandmother for 15 years of my life

I know this sounds lame, but I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. I love the rewarding feeling I get from giving. Now, when I was a kid that was another story. I carried all of my toys in a brown grocery bag and you would have to fight me to get me to share! I love listening and learning from others. I feel that this has only improved my caregiving skills. I have worked with all ages, races, religions, disabilities and I treat each person the same. We all deserve dignity and respect regardless of our situation. I'm kind, but love to laugh and have a good time. Most importantly I know how to act appropriate for the situation. I am a compassionate and nurturing person that enjoys helping people stay in their own homes. I have 20 plus years of experience ranging from basic personal care to Alzheimer's care. I started out at the age of 16 helping to take care of ailing my grandparents. I discovered, I truly care about how people are treated and taken care of. My passion for healthcare began about the age of five. For many years my dream career was to become a doctor. As I aged and researched into a career as a doctor, I realized that medical school was far too expensive for my financial situation. Regardless, of this financial set back, I knew that healthcare was the career field I wanted to pursue. I have always had a caring, loving, nurturing, helpful, compassionate, caregiver disposition and character. The greatest personal reward for me is the joy I feel at the end of each day knowing I have done something to make someones day happier, healthier, and more productive. I have been working in healthcare off and on from the age of 18, over the past 22 years. I have a AAS degree in medical administration and Certifications for CNA, PCA, CPR, BLS, Passed the HHA exam through my current job at Nightingale Home Health Care, and multiple years experience working in home health care. 1. The reason why I became a caregiver is because I like to help people out with there daily living cares, getting to other people, giving them the care they need and deserve. I have worked other jobs and I have never liked them as much as I like being a CNA. 2. I like being a caregiver cause I get to help them meet the goals, care for people, help people with there ADL'S. 3. I have my CNA and I also just recently got my TMA certificate this year. 4. I have two beautiful kids, I live in Waconia, I am currently working at a senior assisted living in Waconia. I have been there for almost two years come November.
