Hello my name is Deshay and I am a certified personal care aide, I have been a PCA since 2019 and I also just recently received my CNA. I absolutely love caregiving, being able to help someone while they can stay in the comfort of their own home is my main goal! I have been in a few different settings when it comes to healthcare. I have worked in a nursing home, an assisted living home, and actual in home care. I am a fast learner and I can adapt to any situation pretty quickly. I know myself not everyday is going to be easy and some days can be more difficult than others but I take with a full heart and open mind and a compassionate demeanor. I watched my mom work in a nursing home for years, and I always looked up to her. I was always amazed at how much love she had for her residents and I could not wait to be apart of that! The thing that I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I get to spend my day with different types of people and hear about life experiences and sometimes share common interests! It's amazing to hear what others have been through. My number one personal achievement that I am proud of was becoming a healthcare worker.

Hello, My name is Leilani, considering I'm the oldest out of 6 children I know everything there is to know about team work. I currently work as a in-home care provider in penfield ny, taking care of an elderly woman who has COPD. But I live in Hamlin ny, distance is no problem, Ive worked on multiple cases with individuals/family's that suffer from Parkinson's disease, heart failure, Alzheimer's, dementia, developmental disabilities etc. Along with my care I can provide organization (meal preparation, medication log, light housekeeping) grocery shopping/errands, bathing/clothing, changing catheters & depends, I also have reliable transportation and references. I knew I wanted to pursue a career in health care my senior year in high school when I volunteered as a classroom aide everyday after school 11am-2 p.m. working with children who had developmental disabilities. I've participated in the Special Olympics and also lots of separate field trips/ activity

I love being a caretaker and being able to make a difference in someone's day. I also have applied to the LPN nursing program to further on my career as well because I enjoy taking care of others. I have been doing this for quite some time and can't see myself doing anything else besides that.

I'm a single mom of 2.. when my great grandma got sick I took care of her till she passed away decided that I love taking care of people so went for my CNA license got a job at Harris hill nursing home than transferred to brothers of Mercy...
