My dreams were always to be a caregiver and after 3 yrs of working all day and going to school at night, while being a single mom, I became a preschool teacher/director. After I moved to Oklahoma, I redirected my profession to medical caregiving. I am a caring and compassionate person with a passion for helping others. I have been a CNA since Jan 2013. I have worked in hospitals and done home health. I love the experience the hospitals have given me, as I mostly worked the float pool, giving me a variety of experience in the healthcare field. I prefer home health, as I can give 1:1 care and build trust and amazing bonds with my clients.

I enjoy the most about caregiving when clients talk to me about fun stories about their past. I enjoy being their voice to hear whenever they are sad or need a friend to talk to. I enjoy watching western shows and I enjoy most to cook and clean for them.

I have 19 years experience in long term care and hospice. I have my certified home health aide license. I'm also a certified nurses aide.My CPR and first aide is current. I have been fortunate enough to work with some really wonderful people. If the caregiver is positive, compassionate, and caring, the patient usually recovers faster and exhibits the same upbeat behavior which heals the mind. Since childhood, I have always made people smile. Quick to help when someone is in need, it is our responsibility to "help thy neighbor." Caregiving has always been second nature to me. I specialize in care for dementia, autism, ADD, ADHD, stroke, Alzheimer's, and cancer. I am detailed, or some would say OCD, about my duties, and try to make not only the patient comfortable and secure but also their family.
