I started helping my mom with my dad when I was 14 yrs old after he had a stroke. I fell in love with helping people. My favorite thing about being a caregiver aside from helping them with what they need is the bonds that are formed. The clients sort of become family. I'm a mom to 2 kids and bonus mom to 3 others. Raising them in this dark world to be kind and loving and respectful as well as respectable is my biggest accomplishment.

I have been a caregiver in LTC facilities for over 10 years and I have come to the conclusion that if you can keep your loved ones at home, then we should come to them. So I decided to leave that and start working for people from home so they can stay home. I've taken care of younger people, not kids, and of course all the way up to end of life. The experience I have could be great, I just don't want people to have to resort to putting loved ones somewhere where they have care. Let's make that be home more often! I love taking care of others and helping them achieve their goals. This is why I became a caregiver in high school and I have never stopped. After I moved to Oklahoma, I redirected my profession to medical caregiving. I am a caring and compassionate person with a passion for helping others. I have been a CNA since Jan 2013. I have worked in hospitals and done home health. I love the experience the hospitals have given me, as I mostly worked the float pool, giving me a variety of experience in the healthcare field. I love helping! My grandmother had a huge influence on my life. I have done everything from a to z in eldercare situations. I love it. I don't have grandparents anymore, so my clients are special people in my life. I'm basically quiet but always positive and smiling. I have my CNA, I worked on the Cardiac monitors, so I feel comfortable with situations where some don't. I also took my LPN but didn't test, bc my father was dying from cancer.. I took care of him and realized I liked taking care of people and serving on an up close and personal level.

I enjoy the most about caregiving when clients talk to me about fun stories about their past. I enjoy being their voice to hear whenever they are sad or need a friend to talk to. I enjoy watching western shows and I enjoy most to cook and clean for them.
