I am a mother of four children so I know what it takes for patients and being compassionate, helpful, friendly person. I like being a caregiver because the expressions on the client's face at the end of the day makes me feel good of what I do for them. I enjoy getting to know the client and their family and what they like and what they don't like. I'm proud of the knowledge I have gained working for other job related companies as well as nursing homes and getting the opportunity to further my knowledge.

I have been in the Healthcare 15+ years. I take great pride in what I do. I recently worked at St. Johns in Mars for 7 years. I love working with the elderly, sick, dementia & all phases pertaining to health field. I have experience with dementia, ventilator patients, alzheimers etc..I get such joy helping & caring for all types of health related illnesses. I've enjoyed being a caregiver for over 15 years now. I started in a nursing home, and then, after my father became ill, I took over all of his care. I have been doing private in home care ever since. It gives me much joy to be able to help others .... whether it be as a caregiver, friend, or great listener to loved ones and their families. In the last 5 years, I've been involved with private in home hospice care.

One thing that attracted me to being a caregiver is that I absolutely love helping people and making them feel better. Seeing them have a good day helps me have a better day. Some of the traits that I have that help with this job is empathy. Empathy is a huge thing to have as a caregiver. Really, I absolutely love having a bond with my patients/residents. Seeing myself being able to help people and make their lives a little bit easier is what brings me to work. The one big achievement that I'm proud of is that I moved states away from my son to earn my state certifications.

I currently work as a nursing assistant for a hospital and have been doing so for about three years now. I became an aide because I love taking care of people and being able to help them continue to live their daily lives. I am also dependable and reliable.

Hello! My name is Heather Dunmire, I have been in the medical field for 8 years now. My first job out of high school was a nurses aide position. I went on to further my education and obtain my CNA license in January 2017. I have a strong passion for wanting to help others and wanting to see them succeed. I have worked in a childcare facility as a shift supervisor before but I always find my way back to my elderly folk, that is where I feel my heart is at and where I feel I do my best work. I love hearing their stories from all throughout their lives, and I absolutely love to see the smiles on their faces. I like to really take the time to find out what their dislikes and likes are, get to know their routine of things, and try to connect with them in a way to make them feel safe and secure. I am cpr, first aid, aed, and Heimlich trained. I am also diabetic trained and medication trained, and insulin trained and I have a customer service certification.
