Communicate with patients to ascertain feelings or need for assistance or social and emotional support. Lift or assist others to lift patients to move them on or off beds, examination tables, surgical tables, or stretchers. blood collection, foley and catheter insertion and removal, telemetry placement and removal, BMS placement, Accucheks, specimen collections, wound care. Communication is key, along with encouragement, patience, and creative problem-solving skills. Growing up as a child, I helped my grandmother with her medical needs and that is what inspired me to get in the medical field. Caring for other people makes me feel valued. I have wonderful relationships with my clients. While I am doing their ironing or washing the floor, we're laughing and chatting. They enjoy telling me their stories, sometimes from years ago and I get pleasure from listening to them. Personal achievements that I am proud of are having an associates and bachelors degree in the medical sciences field.
