My personality traits I would have to say that I enjoy making people laugh. I'm just a big goof ball. I'm energetic, I have a gentle touch and a warm heart. I got attracted to being a caregiver was because the elders have great stories, it sometimes takes me back in time like I was in their era. I enjoy being a caregiver because I want to help others, I want to learn and grow from them, the elders are so wise. The personal achievement that I'm proud of was the day I passed my CNA State Exam. I've worked in the healthcare field for 16+ years. I started out as a Certified Nursing Assistant, then worked my way to become a Certified Medication Aide. Over the last several years I also helped as Assistant Business Office Manager before later taking over as Business Office Manager at a facility I worked at. Sitting in that office working nonstop with no time to enjoy the conversation of the residents wasn't fun at all. Turns out it reminded just how much I truly love hearing stories of the elderly. Helping those who arent able to do the simplest tasks that you and I take for granted daily brings my heart such joy.

I have always loved caring for the young and old alike. I starting working as a Caregiver several years back until I finished College. Then I began Teaching in a K12 setting for several more years with my fiancee and are 7 children.

A great care giver you have to just have a big heart and to really care for yourself yet for another human even if it's not your family . I care for the elderly I enjoy them it's hard getting close to them and they pass away. I wanted to get out of the fast food business so I got my high school diploma and I went to nursing school for a CNA to do something new.and exciting. Being in nursing homes seeing the nurses with the residents just how funny they can be even if there mean it's funny cause they don't mean it but some don't have family that see them so I enjoy being able to help the elderly. I enjoy the most is helping them get dressed up and look like there back in there younger days just to have fun and make them feel better. They look up to all the help they can get if they can't do themselves . you can really learn alot from them .

I believe I'm a great caregiver because of all the experiences throughout my fire service career. This was over 25 years which included the rank of Fire Chief in two different cities. You're always working around people serving them and having their best interest in mind. During that time I also workwith a gentleman spending over three years in his home who was diagnosed with PSP. This included feeding showering companionship Total Care spending 24 hours a day in his home. I have also worked in a couple other nursing homes and assisted living facilities as a cook. Once again this allowed me to be around the environment of health care and serving the resident. I've also spent quality time in assisted living and Memory Care Facilities working with all kind of residence for different kind of diagnosis. Every time is allowed me to make a bond with all the residents and make it more than just a job but a place I wanted to be. This has allowed me to understand and realize how important it is to have compassion, patience, and a genuine sincerity as it relates to caregiving and home health. We are the ones who help ensure that all of our residents or people we care for in their homes have the dignity, respect,security and safety that they are entitled to and something I believe all of us need to have I like being a caregiver and a CNA because once again I am able to care for people take care of people, and be a part of their complete care plan. More often than not we may be the only ones left to assist them during this time in their lives I am currently a CNA ( Certified Nurse Aide) through 2021 in Texas my home state and have my CNA certification in 6 other states as well. I have worked in that capacity for the last 4 years. I have experience in a hospital setting, assisted living, and nursing homes , home health and long term care.

I am very outgoing. I love helping people, I have been a caregiver for the past 9 yrs here in Highland Lakes area. I have done private care and for the company i worked with for 7yrs... I don't like to see people get overwhelmed with trying to care for a loved one... it is overpowering when you do it by yourself, I know because I have experienced with my own family.
