I'm friendly, nice and like to help people. I'm a very trustworthy and a passionate person. I also wanted a rewarding job, and caregiving is just that. I enjoy talking to and making people laugh. I was very friendly with all our residents at my previous job. I am proud to have four healthy grandchildren that I adore.

My mom was sick while i was growing up and it taught me to be strong and i know how i wanted her to be treated so i learned to understand certin needs. like for example patients and understanding needs what attracts me to being a caregiver is i just simply love to help others. what i enjoy of being a caregiver is that the person helps me be a better person and i love to listen and i learn how different so many people are. i learn everyday with different people how the world is good of amazing people.

A personal achievement that I am extremely proud of was going to college to be a nurse. Although, if it had not been for my mothers help, I feel I would not have been able to finish. I think not really knowing my grandparents attracted me to being a caregiver. I sort of adopt grandparents along the way. I seem to have a passion caring for older adults. I have worked in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. I prefer to care for individuals in their own home, because I feel better care is given. I am a mother of 2 grown children and an empty nester, so I feel my entire focus will be to provide the best care for you or your loved one.

I've worked in the healthcare field for 16+ years. I started out as a Certified Nursing Assistant, then worked my way to become a Certified Medication Aide. Over the last several years I also helped as Assistant Business Office Manager before later taking over as Business Office Manager at a facility I worked at. Sitting in that office working nonstop with no time to enjoy the conversation of the residents wasn't fun at all. Turns out it reminded just how much I truly love hearing stories of the elderly. Helping those who arent able to do the simplest tasks that you and I take for granted daily brings my heart such joy.

My love and respect for the elderly started at a very early age with my relationship with my own grandparents. Through the years, my love for the elderly evolved into an outreach to a local nursing home where I would take my young children to visit regularly. I eventually became a full-time caregiver for my children's great grandmother. It was through this three year experience that I realized that it comes very natural for me to fulfill the role of a caregiver.
