Hello My name is Susanne, I have been in caregiving for 4 plus years now. I enjoy taking care of others I feel there's a big need for that. I started out doing this for my mom and others. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families. I'm very nice,helpful and a very caring person.

I am a single mother of three who began caring for my elderly grandmother who was also diabetic at a very young age. I grew up in a community where the elders took care of you and you of them. It has always been my pleasure to help others and try to bring whatever joy and peace I can. My biggest personal achievement (personal but not personal) would be to see my two oldest attending colleges of their choice and being contributing members of society who also have a passion to help others along the way. I have over 15 years of work experience in the customer service field and 5 years of experience in the home health field

I have been a caregiver since I was young received my certification in 1996 and still have it in CNA (25yrs) and also have my RMA (11yrs) I have some training of PN I have a lot of gifts in the medical field

I think what makes me a great caregiver is I love helping people. I enjoy seniors the most because they usually have great stories. I am a mother of three adult children and a grandmother to four grandchildren that I help care for. I have taken care of my great grandfather and my mother when they were ill, towards the end of their life. I know how much it meant to them to be comfortable as they could be in the comfort of their own home. Everytime I care for someone, I always keep that in mind. I pray that if I am blessed to grow old, I hope that I am cared for the same exact way. I have taken quite a few Alzheimer's and dementia classes, for better understanding of the disease. I have worked with a few seniors dealing with this. I am more of a Caretaker/ Companion, meaning I'm there to help your loved to stay as independent in their own home as they can possibly be. I cook, do light housekeeping, laundry, errands and grocery shop, help with medication reminders, help with grooming and getting dressed. I help with pretty much anything that needs to be done.

I love and enjoy helping people, when and where they more need. Being a CNA, was the greatest decision, I have made in my life, because my dream came through; since I was little I liked to help people. Empathy and compassion is what makes me a great caregiver. I started off at 16 years old taking care of my grandpa. Making sure he take his medicine, bath, and read him versus out of his bible. As I got older I knew this is what I wanted to do I want to help the elderly patients that can no longer do much for themselves. It's essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion, caregivers will let the person know that they care about them and want to do what they can to help and that's what keeps me consistent. I love to keep clients smiling and talking. I received my CNA license and went to school to study for my degree in Medical Administration Assistant of Applied Science. But somehow I just went back to CNA doing what I really love for 10 years and counting. Also have my BLS license through American Heart Association
