I am well experienced in caring for people I have a great personality and empathy for people. I am an excellent caregiver and have a track record to share. I like the people I am caring for is they are safe with me.

I have been involved in healthcare since the age of 15 , starting as a "candy striper" volunteer and worked in many areas of the hospital until of age to work in Emergency Medicine. I have been an active EMT/ Paramedic with both volunteer and career departments and taken part in evaluating home safety checks for residents. As a healthcare professional, I have worked in various hospitals and am very knowledgeable in diseases, aging process and treatments. I have a soft heart for our Veterans with several Veteran family members. I love people and enjoy conversing with elders that have so much to share.

I consider myself a great caregiver because I go above and beyond to make sure my residence get the best care. I have a kind heart and plenty of patience and I have the desire to help those that are in need. I love to make my residence happy, comfortable and I love to see them smile. One of my personal achievements was being there by my grandmothers side while she was diagnosed with dementia and making every moment a special one.

Ive been a CNA for 20 yrs, received my license in North Carolina in 2001 and in Virginia in 2009. I believe the most important thing that makes me a great CNAs is patience and understanding. The reason why I became a CNA is I find joy in the elderly. They are knowledgeable, they make you laugh,and you can learn alot from them. I get great joy in seeing the smiles on their faces because they're pleased with me.

I became a caregiver 22 years ago when (at that time) my mothers employer was looking for a 'fill-in' person. I gave it a try and absolutely fell in love with what I did! I love being a caregiver because I find great joy in helping others!! I have worked with a lot of Seniors and I have helped them to be able to stay in their homes! I have been working as a Licensed CNA over 20+ yrs , when taking care of my residence i look at them as my family member, meaning i would give them good quality care show them love and respect with dignity, what attracted me to being a caregiver i have watched my family member with dementia and my aunt needed a break because it can become overwhelming at times. I love and enjoy helping people, when and where they more need. Being a CNA, was the greatest decision, I have made in my life, because my dream came through; since I was little I liked to help people. I started doing home care in June 2009 as a Nurse Assistant/ PCA , I mainly did private duty cases overnight 11pm-7am and I really enjoy it. It was hard at times but i enjoy taking care of my clients , making sure they were fed, bathed, and had a good night rest. Most of my home care clients had dementia or was recovering from surgery or some sort. I started doing homecare when i was temporary taking care of my grandmother while my parents were at work , after i graduated from high school . i would have to say that was a personal achievement of mine , to get my Nurse Assistant/PCA certification after helping caring for my grandmother.

I became a caregiver because I have a special heart of helping the elderly.I love the fact that I can be there foe someone who needs help.Am going to school for social work program and with that program I will comtinue helping the community
