I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 30 years. Part of that time I was a Medical Assistant. I became a caregiver originally to help family members, and found that I enjoyed it so much that I made it my career. I am most proud of the fact that I make lives better and increase the social life of my clients.

I am a lot funnier than what my application says about me. I take my job seriously, but I am light hearted and loving. I learn quickly.

My name is Nikki. I have been a certified nursing assistant since 2014, but have been taking care of people since 2000. What attracted me to become a caregiver was taking care of my mother for so long. My mother passed in 2006 and from then on I've been a caregiver. I am a caregiver at night for a client I have had since July 8th of 2015. I am the lead at my job, I handle the medications, doctors apts, payroll, firing, hiring and basically anything you can think of. My job isn't a job it's my life, my career. I have helped take care of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, MS, quadriplegic, cancer, amputations, inserting catheters, condom catheters, pubic catheters, colostomy bags you name it I have done it. What I truly enjoy most about being a caregiver is leaving the clients house knowing that the little time you get to spend with them made a difference. Getting to hear the story's of their life is the most memorable. To hear a client tell you that they love you and they can't wait for you to come back .... Those are the moments that make my career the greatest career in the world.

I enjoy being with my clients! Spending time helping them stay as independent and healthy as they can be is very important me. I look forward to challenges in the work day to overcome. Being there for my clients and their family's in this hard time, be it emotional support or being the muscle for the family is something I strive for so the family can be just the family and not have to be the caregivers.

I have worked in healthcare for the last 16 years. I moved to California July 1st 2016. When I came here, I got my HHA certification and I'm registered now with the state of California. I provide in home quality private care for the disabled and elderly. I'm honest hard working and very dependable. I also have lots of references that I can provide. Hi! Mine name is Amy. I am a mother of 3 beautiful daughters! And i have 7 wonderful grandchildren, who are my world!! I have always been a caregiver! I started when i was 9yrs. Old when my Great Grammy had Dementia in a bad way I dont think i left her side!! But its carried thru and i ended up taking care of my Grammy for 4yrs. As she aged, intill she passed. And here i am, still going strong!! I love people!! I love leaving a home and knowing that i made a difference that, and every day!!!

I enjoy being a care giver because i get to help others and build great relationships while at it... I have been taking care of others for a very long time. I enjoy cooking and cleaning, i enjoy visting with my clients, i also enjoy how busy this job keeps me. I do not smoke or drink, i have a vaild license with an insured vehicle. I relocated to Olympia, WA from Baltimore, MD about one year ago. Currently working as a customer service professional, I am seeking a more meaningful position. I would love to give back to Washington by doing some impactful work, such as Caregiving. I have 5 years of caregiving experience (geriatric care/dementia and alzheimers) My CNA Certification is now expired, but the skills have not. I have been working as a Customer Service Representative since 2014, but I am ready to take advantage of my talent. I am really looking forward to start a new career and continue my education!
