Hello , I've been a certified nursing assistant for about 6 years now , I've worked in nursing homes in dementia units , long term care , rehab and I've Also done private one on one sitting. It makes my day knowing I've made someone's day by helping them or just by being there . Caregiving is my passion and it always be.

My career goal is to be an assisted living administrator, so I'm trying to get as much experience as I can in the long term care industry. I have been a caregiver for almost three years. Hi my name is VaShanti. I've been considered to be caring, innovative, and passionate. When I was younger I often helped my grandmother with things such as shopping, cleaning, administering her insulin, and cooking due to her physical limitations. Since then I've developed a heart and passion for helping others. Later in life I took on the role as a caregiver/ direct support staff. What I enjoy most about my work is being able to help my clients feel greater beyond their limitations. I want my clients to be comfortable no matter what. With that being said my goal is to prove to my clients' that I am a trustworthy helping hand and that I care. My previous work was with bright spring health where I worked with the mentally ill and physically limited . I built relationships with all of my clients so that I could understand their needs and wants better. I've learned a lot from my clients in return. While being employees with brightspring health I was promoted to DSP Lead and soon later home manager. I'm also a Navy veteran and owe all my discipline and morals for the job to my time served in the military. I'm familiar with different lifts, using medical supplies and equipment, preventative care and bandaging for wounds/ulcerated bedsores, blood pressure and glucose monitoring. I worked in an emergency room as lab, secretary, and multi skilled tech for 13 years so I have seen a little bit of everything.
