I am very patient. I grew up with both handicapped and mentally disabled family members and friends, so I have life experience. I care for those interested to me as if they were family and try to make sure that their family members or close friends if there is no family are involved. I have a happy disposition and smile a lot and try to be positive no matter the situation. I became a caregiver during COVID-19 pandemic before that I was a massage therapist and holistic healer. I have been caring for people most of my life, and it just seemed a natural change over. I am a mother figure most people call me mama. I am just a natural caregiver. I am an LVN with 20 years of nursing experience. I provide skilled care or more extensive care such as end of life care, wound care or care that may require someone more skilled. My regular prices range from $30.00 - $45.00 an hour. I've always been a natural caregiver. I love caring for people. I began a career in nursing in 2001 as a CNA. I went to school to become an LPN in 2005 and graduated Valedictorian in 2006. I've enjoyed nursing and was fortunate to be able to gain lots of experience in geriatrics and pediatrics. I've worked in private care, home health care, assisted living, nursing home and clinic. I have also been blessed to have worked with developmentally delayed children and adults. I have worked in health care as a Medical Assistant so I have solid understanding of different conditions and working with doctors regarding health needs of patients. I am both a indoors and outside person. What attracts me to this career is the companionship that can be made when helping another. I find it helpful and healthy to communicate with people. During that time being a caregiver i had the responsibilities of transportation, cleaning, and giving my clients their medication. I had worked with several clients with different disabilities. I would stay the night and day for 4 days at house that my clients were at to care for them. One of the major achievements I've made is losing weight. To this day i have become more active and motivated to start a new journey to become a sports physical therapist. One of my goals are to compete in bodybuilding as well. A little bit about me Hi my name is Lola De Los Santos. I am 19 years old and I am a CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant. I am currently a college student at Mendocino College pursuing my goal to become an RN-Registered Nurse. I am a fun spirited individual who loves being around people and making people feel good and or better even when that day may not be a good day for them. Throughout school of wanting to become a nurse I chose to get my CNA license so that I would be able to get more experience within the career path that I have chosen, but throughout my journey of schooling and working at a care home I realized that being there for your patients and assisting them with their ADL's is the best feeling that I could have experienced while being a CNA. A personal achievement I am proud of is accomplishing as much as I have while only being 19 years old and that I am passionate about the things that I do.

I believe I am a great caregiver because I treat each person I am caring for as if they are my own family member. I give them the care I would want my mother or father to receive. I have been a caregiver for almost 5 years and in the last 6 months have received my CNA certification.

Started at Southern concepts in granbury Texas doing assisted living with mhmr patients for a little over a year. Then worked at Arbor house in granbury for 6 months with dementia patients. Thanks for your time.
