I am an outgoing individual who likes to talk and share interests with my clients. I am currently enrolled in a speech and language graduate program through St. Ambrose university. This has given me knowledge on swallowing disorders, dementia, language disabilities, working with verbal and nonverbal clients and families, as well as person centered care. I am willing to learn and adjust my points of view to always accommodate client. I want to make sure I am bringing my best self into a clients home where they can feel comfortable and well taken care of. I have worked in a group home where I have taken care of those with nonverbal needs, mobility issues, and swallowing disorders. While there I provided the basic needs such as toiling, bathing, cleaning and cooking. I have first hand experience taking care of others and making sure to respect their boundaries and needs. I have many interests and am willing to learn what my client likes and doesn't like so they can enjoy their time with me. I love being active and staying engaged with my clients and families. I want to provide the best care possible for each individual all the while making sure they feel independent, and useful.

I attended St. Ambrose University, which is a Christian based university, and graduated with honors. I love to travel, spend time with family and friends, snorkel, ride bicycles horsebackriding, and enjoy walking and listening to all genres of music. I think I would be a great care giver because I have experience with care giving. I was employed at a home health care facility and loved going to clients homes and tending to their needs.
