I grew up on a farm in Ohio with 8 sisters, 1 brother, 3 dogs & several cats, ducks & guinea pigs. I have volunteered most of my adult life with a multitude of organizations including: Hospice, the Humane Society, Make A Wish Foundation, the local library, Kitty Konnection (a feral cat rescue), the Rape Crisis Hotline, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, my local church. I enjoy helping people and the company of animals. My hobbies includes music, baking, traveling, reading, movies, and art museums. I have 2 grown sons & 6 grandkids, all of whom live in other states.

Hi My name is Elexus Hill . I started working in the healthcare field in 2016 after my father passed away. I knew my passion was to help others. I first became a Certified Nurse Assistant , and then I went back to school to gain experience to become a Registered Nurse . My journey to finishing school has had its ups and downs due to family deaths. I have a very strong background in the healthcare field , I have previously worked in the ICU unit at a hospital , long term care facilities as well as in the home setting.

I'm very professional when it comes to care giving job and I do pay attention if my clients are not in good condition and help them for their daily needs.

I am extremely an polite person and outgoing person. I enjoy meeting new people. I realized I do have an amazing caring heart who genuinely loves to help people, also can have a lot of patience which attracted me to becoming a caregiver. One of my most personal achievements throughout being a caregiver I have learned new traits from others, which taught me how to bond with different individuals.

I was a CNA for 6 yrs in an assisted living home/ long term facilities. I did private care for a year then went to pharmacy for 9yrs. Being in pharmacy my CNA expired in 2007 i renewed it in May 2014. I worked for anagency from Feb 2014 till Oct then was in private care from Sept 2014-Jan 2015. I was called back to the job I worked @ 10 yrs ago now in the memory care unit as a CNA. I love the unit it's me & a nurse with 14 residents personal care, daily activities it's a quite & locked unit. I'm very organized a planner have lists & agendas, being a caregiver as in making a bed, to a shower or a grocery run makes me fill accomplished to do it for someone that can no longer or needs assistant doing it.

I love the health career I'm in its such a great feeling to help people in need and to go asleep at night knowing that person was able to get through another day with your help. I became a caregiver because of my grandma she's been a AFC host since i was about 6 years old and loved watching the individual she took care of and still does become family to us and watch him become a better and healthier person. I enjoy that i can change someones life with just a little help and make them happy at the end of the day by even just having a conversation with them. I was proud of finally giving back to my elders by getting my HHA certificate and continuing on in a field I'm passionate about.

I have been in the field of caring for intellectual disabled and elderly all my life, i now work as a manager in a group home and as it is highly rewarding ,I feel i can give more of my attention to one person and have alot of knowledge and love to give . And I also feel i can give families the comfort that there loved one ins in great hands,i myself am dealing with a parent with dementia and a stroke

I am a caregiver because I love working with elderly people. The clients I have had the pleasure of working with have a great scent of humor which I enjoy. My personality coincides well with my clients and it is a great asset in building a healthy professional relationship. One personal achievement which I have noticed and will list is that I have the ability of making my clients happy. This is demonstrated in how they continually smile while I am in their presence. Furthermore, I am happy that my clients can educate me on various medical illnesses they presently have because it shows me that they are aware of what is occurring with them. When they are willing to be more open its makes our relationship more joyous in that I can help to encourage them and provide great advice. I would describe myself as a hardworking, caring and supportive individual with a great scent of humor.
