I am very considerate and respectful of others things, personal spaces, likes and dislikes. I easily adapt to personal preferences, as I understand that we all have them. I am very hygiene and health oriented, as well as knowledgeable on preventing the spread of infection. I have been a certified nurse assistant for almost 8 years and I love it. I never dread work and I always find myself smiling. I love caring for people and having them look at me with trust. I have 2 beautiful children who count on only me and they are also proud of what I do.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am a very homely down to earth type person. Very patient and hardworking. I a care a lot about other people. Especially our elderly family members, because.. hey they took care someone their self once. I think people deserve the best of attention and care because in improves their quality of life and they get to stay in their comfort zone. I love to spend time with elderly people and listen to what they have to say. It allows be to be able to make sure that I know they are treated like human beings and that all of their needs are taken care of. My 2 personal achievements that I have completed in home health so far was staying with 2 people for many years each until the passed away. They became my best friends and then family.

I'm 66 years old and I have a lot of patience at this point in my life and I enjoy helping folks that have age related difficulties.

I have been in the medical field for almost 14 years. Healthcare is my passion. My grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was 8 years old. Everyday that I was with her, I done my best to take care of her and get her anything that she needed. She told me that I was her little nurse, and that stuck in my mind. I knew from that moment on that I wanted to be in healthcare. I enjoy taking care of people, getting to know them and doing my best to provide the care that is needed. A personal achievement that makes me most proud would be doing the heimlich maneuver on a choking Vietnam vet successfully. A couple years later his diabetes and edema got worse and he was not expected to make it much longer. I stayed with the family and done my best to make him and his family comfortable during this time and gave them as much support that I could.

I love everyone..the elders can steal my heart.they took care of us so its my time to take care of them..my granny was the one told me to do nursing.she said I had the heart for it so I went to school got my CNA and here I am doing what I love to do..I love everything about being a caregiver.getting to know my patients..
