I have always had a desire for helping people especially the elderly. It's been a very rewarding career choice that I have always enjoyed doing. Knowing that I can help promote a person's well being towards maintaining their independence is rewarding to me. When I worked with a dementia client, helped to recall some of her memories through writing and reading exercises. My sister had many health problems in which; I encouraged her through daily functions similar to what she would do at home, helped with her transition from home to nursing home. Also, when I received my certification in nursing. I am a christian, loving,caring,devoted,reliable,efficient,responsible and love unity of family. My hobbies are reading, walking, meditate, pray, visit the sick and shut in, movies, love to volunteer my time helping those in need. Hi, my name's Madison. I'm currently a nursing student and am looking for an evening/overnight shift. My biggest personal achievement as a whole is actually making it into nursing school and continuing my education to become that nurse I've always wanted to be. My personality traits when being a great caregiver would have to be companionship, reliability, communication, supportive, and being trusted. I am very attentive when it comes to one's needs regardless of what I'm doing. What attracted me to be a caregiver is the idea that it's part of the healthcare industry. Since I'm in nursing school, I figured that that would be a start of the career. Interacting with others and just helping them out in general is my favorite thing about being a caregiver. The little relationship you can form with one another is so sweet.

1 thing that attracted me to be a caregiver is just the thought of helping others & putting a smile on their face I really enjoy it. I started my career at NHC working in memory care & I loved it there the residents I had were so sweet. It was a tough job at times but I enjoyed it for the most part. I recently switched over to home care & I love this even more especially getting to go run errands with my clients & enjoying the day & sitting & talking to them & finding out things they like to do & how they grew up.
