I have 18+ years experience as a LNA/ CNA/MA/Housekeeper. I am CPR/BLS and First Aid certified. I have worked in Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Homecare and Hospice. A majority of my clients have been diagnosed with Dementia. I have alot of extended learning learning hours with Alzheimer's. I absolutely love working with seniors. I'm a very caring compassionate person. My life is all about helping others whether through care giving or life experience . I have been in the care giving field in some capacity for over 20 years. I believe the elderly and disabled have a special job on this planet to teach patience and remind others to slow down. If I ever need help in the future I hope that someone is there to assist me.

I've been in the caregiving field for 17 years. I started out volunteering in a nursing home and then went from that to live in Care. I have worked extensively in in-home care and at small group homes and big facilities as well. I've worked with a wide variety of clients and conditions. I have a passion for helping people and want to be there for those that don't have anybody else. I'm able to genuinely care but separate myself at the same time, which has made me very good at my job. I'd describe my personality as caring, empathetic, sympathetic & helpful I started caring for seniors/disabled individuals about 6 years ago One thing you should know about me is that I pride myself on my integrity. My skills include medication management & reminders; plan, prep & prepare meals & snacks; personal care (helping patient in & out of the shower, assisting in getting dressed for the day, etc.); household chores (such as laundry, tidying & cleaning up, feeding animals, walking dogs, cleaning litter box, watering plants, etc): scheduling, calendaring & accompanying patients to appointments as needed, transportation to appointments, run errands, etc.

I recently moved to Sedona from Connecticut. I prefer my work environment to be more personal/ one on one so I can focus and put my energy into the task at hand. I enjoy caring , cooking, organizing and helping others particularly elders. I like listening and conversing with them. They are so appreciative of these seemingly small tasks . To see them comforted gives me a sense of accomplishment that I have succeeded which is wonderful.

I have been in the medical care field for over 11 years. I enjoy caring for seniors in their homes. I recently cared for an elderly lady in her 90's. Since she needed 24/7 care, her daughter hired me to be her full-time caregiver. I became her MPOA ( Medical Power of Attorney) It was my duty to recruit and hire other caregivers for full time care, to assist me with the hours she required. I enjoyed every minute of being there for her. I feel that every senior should be treated with respect and honor, they rely on us as caregivers to be on time and on task. I am honest and trustworthy. I can't think of anything that I love to do more than spending time with, and caring for, someone's loved one...when they aren't able to be there.

I became a caregiver, because I like to be of service. I have an AA degree in Mental Health and Human Services, and have worked in the field for over 25 years. I started out working Direct care and then went on to provide staff training on how best to serve a variety of individuals. What I love about care-giving is that I am able to use my skills on a one on one bases to improve the quality of life for the customer. One of the things that I am most proud of is that I had a client that everyone told me that she was unable to do anything to help herself, such as eating bathing and communicating her needs. When I worked with her in 6 moths she was able to feed herself and she was able to communicate her needs to me as well as others. Love, respect and honor moves mountains. I have years of experience in the service field and I am an excellent communicator and love to support each individual in living a life of joy and love.
