I have 20+ years experience as a LNA/ CNA/MA/Housekeeper. I am CPR/BLS and First Aid certified. I have worked in Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Homecare and Hospice. A majority of my clients have been diagnosed with Dementia. I have many hours of extended learning learning with Alzheimer's. I absolutely love working with seniors. I can't imagine doing anything else in this life. I have been out on my own for, Ten years now, I love the one on one contact of homecare. Integrity is the best word I use to describe myself. I always do the right thing, even when no one is looking. Because I am honest and dependable, the work continues to flow. I usually work within the same family for a very long time. I can administer medications and insulin, take vitals, personal care, housekeeping, transportation, cooking, pet care, hospice, really anything you need I can help. I've been in the caregiving field for 21 years. I started out volunteering in a nursing home and then went from that to live in Care. I have worked extensively in in-home care and at small group homes and big facilities as well. I've worked with a wide variety of clients and conditions. I have a passion for helping people and want to be there for those that don't have anybody else. I recently moved to Sedona from Connecticut. I prefer my work environment to be more personal/ one on one so I can focus and put my energy into the task at hand. I enjoy caring , cooking, organizing and helping others particularly elders. I like listening and conversing with them. They are so appreciative of these seemingly small tasks . To see them comforted gives me a sense of accomplishment that I have succeeded which is wonderful.

I became a caregiver, because I like to be of service. I have an AA degree in Mental Health and Human Services, and have worked in the field for over 25 years. I started out working Direct care and then went on to provide staff training on how best to serve a variety of individuals. What I love about care-giving is that I am able to use my skills on a one on one bases to improve the quality of life for the customer. One of the things that I am most proud of is that I had a client that everyone told me that she was unable to do anything to help herself, such as eating bathing and communicating her needs. When I worked with her in 6 moths she was able to feed herself and she was able to communicate her needs to me as well as others. Love, respect and honor moves mountains. I have years of experience in the service field and I am an excellent communicator and love to support each individual in living a life of joy and love.

I became a care giver because I have always worked in the medical field except in an office and I wanted to work directly with patients.
