My Name is Sabina and by nature I really enjoy helping people. Growing up my mother and aunt worked for seniors and I was always around while they were being cared for, it was something that I enjoyed. As I graduated from high school I worked in the hotel industry as a Auditor/ front desk representative, but I also had my part time senior care job. I once worked for The Carlton Plaza Senior Care in Fremont, CA for almost a year as a care giver. I am compassionate and patient which are important qualities to have in this industry. I treat my clients with respect and treat them as if they are part of my family. I also speak, read and write Spanish and cared for seniors with different physical and mental issues. I do have transportation and can run errands and to Dr.'s appointment's or anywhere they desire. Thank You in advance for considering me.
I am good with residents very responsive with their needs. Take time with them and listen to them, I am on time to my job too. I became a caregiver to help others, I love how it makes me feel to see others smile.
Caregiving has been a part of my whole life. Family and friends whenever in need. Becoming a caregiver was my calling. Being compassionate with someone makes us all better people, regardless of ones capacity to care or their need of care...it's my goal to do my best to keep my client comfortable and not needing anything. My personal achievement only in part was going to college and getting my Bachelors Degree in Health Admin. My goals are not finished, but caring for others along the way is what my calling is. I have taken care of my mother until her death from complications of MS, my grandson since he was a baby....currently 16, but losing his battle everyday. So caring about people and their dignity and their rights to have care and compassion in their lives is important to me. Even if that means never saying a word and just being present.

My name is Margaret and I am mostly experienced in Memory Care. I like caring for Memory Care clients. But I do have clients with other conditions, such as, stroke, diabetes and congested heart failure etc.. In 2011 when my ex mother in law became sick I became one of her caregivers. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed caring for her. I do believe this is my calling. I was once offered a position as manager of a home health company. I did not think I could do that job. I was right because I need to be the caregiver not the office person. I love my job. I like everything about caregiving. I love my seniors. I love their stories and their laughter. I'm happy when they are happy. I look forward everyday to seeing my seniors. I love cooking, cleaning and fussing over my seniors, so I'm a natural at caregiving. Remember if you love what you do it's never a job. My fee is between $20 and $35 an hour.
I retired from state employment as a secretary seven years ago, and decided that I wanted to start a new career, one that would give me an opportunity to be of service to others. Caregiving has been the perfect second career for me.
My first job as a care giver was with the Sacramento Senior Companion Program. As a volunteer for that program, I provided care and companionship for four elderly women for one year. I have also provided care to clients through the Seniors Helping Seniors Program, but for the past five years, I have mostly worked for various clients through the County of Sacramento's In-Home Supportive Services Program for 20-30 hours a week. My duties include basic housekeeping, and providing transportation to doctor's appointments, grocery stores, and other locations as needed. I also provide advocacy services for clients with financial, medical, or home service issues; research prescription information; provide home safety advice; and offer companionship. In order to expand on my present skills, I am eager to learn new things associated with care giving, and welcome any questions you may have about my experience and qualifications.
At this time, I am hoping to find part time employment, probably in the afternoons, Monday through Friday. Evening employment would be negotiable. I am also open to working weekends, but would like to have at least one day off. My car is almost new, so transportation is no problem. I don't mind commuting but prefer that the job site be no more than 15 miles from my home in Antelope.
Thank you for taking the time to review my profile, and I hope we might have an opportunity to work together in the future!
