I've been in the medical field for over 13+ years and I absolutely love it. I started in the medical field right out of High School and I'm currently attending school to receive my Bachelors Degree in Health Care Management. I want to continue to expand my knowledge and be a great pillar in the Medical Community. I'm extremely skilled with Majority of all Medical Conditions and treat others with respect. A personal achievement of mine was when I worked with an individual who was non verbal and he had a lot of behaviors and he could be very mean. I spoke to him and treated him like he was the same as everyone else. I cooked a special dinner for him and made it all homemade from scratch and he watched me make the whole meal. When I served him he looked at me took a bite then reached over and grabbed my arm gently and kissed my arm and he smiled so big. It took about a month to get that acceptance from him. When he finally accepted me it made me tear up. I felt so accomplished because this guy ran off so many Direct support Professionals. I felt as though I could do anything because of the wonderful feeling of gratitude and gratefulness that I received from that individual.

I have always enjoyed helping other people live their lives to the fullest extent possible. I have compassion for the elderly and disabled and my goal is make their lives easier and more fulfilling for as long as possible. I have a personal commitment to making people as comfortable as they can be when they are ill or experiencing any condition that causes them to require in-home care.

I'm amanda Rogers, ive had CNA training 2yrs in a facility, and 4 yrs in home provider. little experience with Alzheimer's , dementia. and 6months with cancer patient. I'm honest, easy going reliable, energetic, dependable and caring. I have reliable, transportation, valid CA driver's license, auto insurance, I'm looking to see improvement in my clients abilities, and overall health. I assist with Activities of Daily Living and Intermental Activities Daily Living, Bathing, grooming , toileting, feeding,meal prep, Transportation to Dr, errands, and most importantly companionship is always the first. I try to prepare for possible difficulties that patients might experience and take the necessary measures to make things easier for the client and your family. I started wanting to be a care giver as far back as I remember.. I enjoy spending time & assisting the elderly in need . I have the utmost respect & admoration for the elderly because they have been through so much & they have so much knowledge & wisdom & so many interesting stories I enjoy hearing. I have a great passion for being a care giver. I am a Christian & love to be a part of bringing comfort to those in their Golden years . I have a lot of experience being a care giver I have been a CNA for 14 yrs & before I was a CNA I was a car giver since I was 14 working in a facility house taking care of elderly residents & I also have experience working in home care for several patients . I am very forth right, I take pride in giving hope and making tomorrow a brighter day for my clients. No job is to big or overwhelming for me to tackle. I am very protective and very loving. I am fast and efficient in emergency situations, I do not freeze or panic in my clients time of needs. I enjoy taking my clients out for activities and trips( no one can excel staying in a chair all day) Dr appointments, grocery shopping, puzzles, crafts and activities keep the mind sharp and on point. That's what I strive for[?] Whatever is important to my client becomes important to me and I will remember all of those dates and address them accordingly.. No house work is too much for me.. if they have a project they would like to do we will get it done one way or the other.. cooking is not a problem. Also am very familiar with thickened liquids and Pureed meals. Whatever they may need I am at their disposal.

I love to go above and beyond for my clients and the family seeing my clients happy and thankful for my work brings me a lot of joy .I think what attracts me to be a caregiver is that I give my clients the one on one time they need ... I love working with the veterans hearing all the answers things they did for or country . Taking my clients to the grocery store getting them out the house companionship
