Since I could remember I've always wanted to help people. Growing up I watched my great grandmother helping everyone that she could. Hello! My name is Alyson. I first became a care giver, before I even got my license, when I was 15. I worked for the park district, working with families and then babysitting children. I even worked as a nanny for a few families. I also cared for children and adults that are physically or mentally disabled. I have cared for elderly people as well. I have cared for clients who needed a little help with cooking and cleaning to hands on care for those who had Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Dementia. I have also house and pet sat for multiple families. I am a very caring, sweet, patient person. Being a caregiver is a great fit for me because I enjoy helping people and listening to their stories. I have a great sense of pride going home after work, knowing that I made a difference in someone else's life. Something I am proud of today; caring for clients with so many different needs over the years. One of my clients made it through to the point, she didn't need care anymore. She was able to be independent on her own after I helped her for four years.
