Health Caregiver / CNA Inspired by taking care of my parents at home until they passed . My mother passed 6 years ago and recently my father .2 years after losing my mother. I have a great personality especially around the elderly !My passion is helping others in there daily routines in order for them to be independent in there own surroundings to feel safe in there own home is part of there wellness. I love to make people smile. Caregiving became my passion around the age of 12. My mother who is an RN, opened her first home care business. The rest was history as they say! Hearing the stories from the past, life lessons, experiences from people who were light years ahead of me. It's been a joy getting to know different cultures & views. My passion is helping those who can't help themselves. A majority of the people I take care of are veterans. I wouldn't have it any other way! Sacrificing for the people who have done for the same for us is nothing less than an honor. My proudest achievement would be that people remember me & ask for me even when my work with them is done. Even though I've been employee of the month multiple times. Nothing compares to hearing from your residents mouth that they appreciate you for all you do.

I want those who require help and care from another to know I consider it an honor and a privilege to be the person to provide that care. Getting to know a person helps me understand the needs of that person. And a person and their needs should be treated with dignity and respect. I have always been a good listener, I love to hear life stories, as well as, how a person feels. I am happy to sit in companionable silence when the situation arises. I have a calming, caring presence which is a good fit for the careers I have chosen, including caregiving. I am the proud mother of 4 amazing adult children. My family is my heart and soul.

I would love to try my hand at care giver. I took care of my husband for many years and I know how hard it is on family members to do this, I also know how hard it is to find someone to assist you in this challenge. I was a fairly young women when I was doing it and know how hard it was I would love to be able to assist in the care of a loved one to give peace of mind to the family that they can go shopping or out to dinner and know someone has their back. I also know how important it is for the patient to know their cared for and safe. I worked in the medical field for many years and I've seen a lot of bad situations and many more beautiful ones and thought in going to do that some day.
