Treating them with attentive, proper, and respectful care is a significant role to ensure they retain their dignity and independence during the latter stages of life. For me, helping seniors and others is a great accomplishment and feels highly rewarding, knowing that I could turn a unbearable day into a great one. Caregiving taught me knowledge from listening to experiences and stories one might gladly share. Memories are priceless and can give a wonderful insight and transport you to a time from a person's different perspective. To me, having that kind of opportunity gives life more meaning. I have been a home health care provider for more than 20years. I love the idea of taking care of people who can no longer take care of themselves. I am kind & patient. I am understanding of their constantly needs & moods. I understand their sadness & loneliness. I am also a good listener. In the past my patient's families really appreciated the fact that I was so dependable & trustworthy. They never had to worry about their loved ones when I was on duty. I am most proud of my ability to stay with one of two patients for an extended period of time. I was with one for 10 years until he passed away and with my last one for nearly 7.

I think this a great achievement, because if I did not do good jobs for them, they will not remember me to give me such wonderful honors.
