I am new to Carelinx but not new to caregiving. I helped care for my mother for almost five years until she passed away at 90. I always enjoyed doing the extras that made her feel better and brightened her days. I also helped to raise my two grandchildren since my son became a single father when they were very young.

I have cared for my family and family friends for years. All, I want to do is help those who can't help themselves like they use to do. The way my mother cared for me when, I was young. She gave me the heart to care for others. The smiles on their faces when i can make them happy. Seeing my family walk again after their knee surgeries.

I am a good listener and will double check to make sure that what is asked of me to do is correct.My past and present clients are and have given me great recommendations for my caring attitude. As a small girl, I always wanted to help the elderly and anyone less fortunate than me.I was raised by 2 very loving, church going parents. The most important thing I love about being a caregiver is the gratification of knowing that I am appreciated in my responsibilities. A personal achievement that I am very proud of is doing the smallest things to get that gratitude.

I am a caring and compassionate person. I enjoy working with family's and individual care. I have been doing this since I was younger in homes, and recently got my CNAs and am currently employed in a skilled nursing facility. I love my job and my individuals. I became a Certified Nurse Assistant my senior year of high school and started working in the nursing home the month i turned 18. I have had my CNA license for a year and have enjoyed working with my residents. I no longer work at the nursing home because i have had to relocate and haven't found anything closer. I would love to get the chance to meet new people and work on a one on one basis with someone and help make their life a little easier. I became a care giver because I have a big heart and i have been told that by many of my former residents. I go above and beyond and will bend backwards to make sure that you or your loved one is PROPERLY taken care of. I have worked with so many people that have taken short cuts and don't care cause at the end of the day its just a job to them. But as for me i know that i am taking care of someone that is trying to live everyday a little more comfortable even though they cant do as much anymore, its not just a job for me. I admit i get attached but thats expected when you spend everyday with someone and know what they like to do and how they like things done. They become family .
