Hi my name is Julie:) I became a caregiver after helping my own parents. I have been caregiving for over 10 years. I didn't realize there were so many people in need. I have learned so much and continue learning. I'm so passionate about caregiving for I also was in a wheelchair the first years of my life as a child. Now I'm healthy and strong, but I know what it feels like to be dependent on people and my best strength is to anticipate your needs before you have to ask. I lived in California all my life. I just moved to Kentucky. I took care of my beautiful mom and a wonderful lady for over 6 years. They both passed away within 6 months of each other, broke my heart to pieces. I have family in Kentucky and decided to move. I've been here 2 weeks and ready to start my life. When your caregiving, your a care provider, friend, advocate, and grow so close and love the people you take care of. This profession has enriched my life, and it's my calling. I am a compassionate person I believe being oldest of 6 children watching over them and enjoying taking care and helping other is what lead me to going into nursing. I received my cna when I was 16 and have been working in the field since. I have over 15+ years experience. I really enjoy working with the elderly. I prefer 1 on 1 where I can give my undivided attention to the patient. I am currently doing housekeeping for few clients and would love to start giving care again.

I am a seasoned registered nurse looking for a couple of shifts of work per month. I am calm and compassionate. I love helping people. I am a resource for families as I have a wealth of experiences. I also have a passion for advocacy and person centered care. My children and faith are my greatest achievements.

I have always enjoyed helping and taking care of people whether it is total care or just assisting with their daily activities. I am compassionate and patient which are two important traits when you're working in this field. Anything I can do to help improve someone's quality of life is rewarding at the end of the day. I am very blessed that I was able to take care of my parents and helped them live and die with dignity and this is also my goal for my clients. Whether it's doing a puzzle or just listening to stories, it's all worth the time.
