I love people and think we should all be treated with respect and kindness. I started caregiving due to the fact of both of my son's great-grandparents were diagnosed with dementia. I did not want them to be placed in a home or separated. Then after both of them passed away, I sadly went back to my wrecker service. Worked only two weeks and decided this is not what God wants me to do. So I went to work for Kelly's assisted living as an on-call coordinator and doing PCA work during the day. Then Mr Hartman came into my life he suffered from MS completely quadriplegic I was told I would be lucky if he lived 5 years. He became a father to me I kept him alive with the grace of God for over 20 years. He was a very large man that was bed bound but everybody was amazed that he only had one bed sore the entire time I took care of him. I do not have a problem with any pets and helping take care of them. I also will help your loved one with grocery shopping all ADLs and housekeeping.I love to make people smile. I have a quirky sense of humor. I also worked in a facility under memory Care. I just hope as I age someone will care for me as I have cared for the people in my life. Hello Clients Home health care has been one of my expertise for 5+ years. What attracted me to being a caregiver was seeing how hard it is for someone to not be able to help themselves. Some expertise that helps me be a great caregiver is that I have patience, I'm kind, and I respect everyone. I love to make everyone smile and feel encouraged. I genuinely care about my clients. In addition to doing my job in a professional manner, I treat all of my clients with kindness, respect, and dignity. As a teen, I helped my mother care for my grandmother and always enjoyed spending time with her. My own mother is a dementia patient with diabetes and I am involved in her care as well. I truly enjoy working with seniors assisting them with independence and a better quality of life.

1)I became a caregiver because I love to help others and make a different in someone else's life .2)What I like about being a caregiver is,to be able to help someone and it's really make me happy . Because I am a loving & caring & respectful ,trustworthy person .When I'm helping someone I feel very happy , especially for those that can't help themselves. 3) A personal achievement that I am proud of ,is all my four children are done with college and one of them is married and started with new job and have a funny and beautiful little girl that's make the whole family really happy. and my last one/son is graduated done with college & already starting working. All 4 of them are doing really well and some of them are already starting their own business. And To me that's a big accomplishment and very proud of all of them. That makes me really happy &they are really close to God that 's making me even more happier. Only God can do such things ...To me it's a dream come true & Glory to GOD. 4)About myself , I've been married for 34 +years and I have four children and I am God fearing . And I've been Cna for more than 20 years and +and I love what I do . The reason that I love it is because I had a car accident 20 years ago I could not do nothing for myself and my family took care of me and I said to myself whenever I'm getting better and able to do everything I have to help others who needed help & won't be able to take care of themselves. And because I have compassion for what i do and I tell anyone that who want me to work with a loved one if they don't have enough money to pay I'm willing to negotiate. Because our Father in heaven wants us to care for one another.

- when l took my nursing practice they gave me the elderly rom all the time and it was the most beautiful thing, because with them we shared anecdotes and beautiful stories together. I treated them the best so that one when l was that age or my patents they will treat them the same as me. - Be suman , helpful, positive, patient, constant, communicative, honest, empathetic... close I'm short be a good person. -Be part of their world and share new things and ideals. - Help people who need me, when they occupy a catheter and they could not move to the hospital. Helping makes me happy.

I love what I do let me start off by saying that and I believe when a person live their job it's for them to not be an problem when it comes to doing their job. I love taking care of people I think I get that from my nana (grandmother) she always had me with her as she was doing her work and I think I took it interesting bad an child I enjoy the look on clients face when you have given them good news about their loved one it could be something so small but it's really huge because of the fact that they have been trying to get them to do it and maybe they would not but now that they are that's an accomplishment my personality also has alot to do with the type of work I do for example me being sooooooooo caring and I know it may sound a lil not good but I do tend to worry if people are not ok or feeling well and I try to do whatever I can in order to change that. I am proud of me taking the time and getting on the path to what I wanted to do in the long run so early by going to job corps for C.N.A I could not have did anything greater because I knew this was exactly what I wanted to do because I love to take care of people.

Hello my name is Amy Harrison. I am an RBT and currently reside in Salisbury, NC. I am currently working towards my PhD in Education. I just finished my nurse aide class at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with an A average. I received my Masters of Education degree in 2021 with a specialization in early childhood education. Since 2014 I have held numerous roles working with children and the elderly. These roles have ranged from after school counselor/site director, lead teacher, behavior technician, online ESL teacher, Direct Support Professional, Home Health Aide, Temporary Nurse Aide, Care Pro, Care Manager, Care Associate and Nurse Aide.
